We engaged HKRyan after the frames are done and he picked up few things which were happily rectified by WH. We would be engaging him again closer to PCI which is around 3 weeks from now. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 536Apr 01, 2015 9:36 pm Our portaloo has arrived, we are on our way http://i744.photobucket.com/albums/xx82/lunar62/Neale%20portaloo%20010415_zpshixqsagw.jpg won't be long before you have one too ugly99. We are using Houspect to carry out 4 independent inspections for us. Money well spent for peace of mind for us in our opinion. I kinda expected some eye-popping numbers but it went over that and then some and I finally realised how bad it was when I went home and went over it again. 22k for hydraulics alone, mandatory 7k for slab upgrade of course because of soil conditions also lots of other little site costs that add up. 16k for the patio at the back, 10k for the wise package, 14k for facade, 10k for insulation, 6k for ugpraded ceiling heights on both floors (this was the most reasonable thing) etc etc somehow a house with a base price of ~310k ends up at 443k before kitchen/electrical/flooring appointments and getting demolition quotes and basic landscaping like a driveway, front fence and side paths. I kinda don't wanna look at what's on this USB stick lest I get tempted. In your opinion guys how much extra from here onwards to the final contract price? I'm not a person of expensive tastes and I'm of the mindset I actually wanna keep the finish down a tad cos I have young kids who will just wreck nice things. What in your opionion are the 'must have, it would be stupid not to do it' in the appointments from here on in? Sounds good. But the generally feeling in my stomach is 'this is getting out of control!!!' We didn't change much on the floor plan. Just the extra balcony, and all the upgrades... Higher ceilings, bigger doors, doubled the outdoor alfresco, upgraded the staircase, sound proofing between the 2 levels and in the walls of the media room... But I know it will be my dream home where I'll live forever Can someone please offer some advice? Im DESPERATE. Because I'm completely and utterly exhausted.
