I just paid my $1500 for tender so hopefully I will be where you guys are now this time next year Quick question for those who've been through the process, when do you actually pay your 5% deposit? I know I'm up for another $3k at tender acceptance and then....what happens? I'm doing a KDR and need to sort out a demolition after CDC approval, hoping the 5% deposit is also after CDC approval and not before Wisdom Homes Abode 27 KDRB - Inner West Sydney https://wisdomhomesabode27.wordpress.com/ Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 392Feb 02, 2015 4:57 pm ShuddaBeenATradie So excited for you guys who are about to start construction. I'm doing a KDR and need to sort out a demolition after CDC approval, hoping the 5% deposit is also after CDC approval and not before Wow, $1500 for tender? they must have increased it. After tender acceptance, they draw up your contract plans. You can change these as much as you want, but try and get it done in 1 hit. it takes 2-3weeks for wisdoms estimating team to quote stuff, but a day or so to remove it. add everything you may or may not want in your build from the get go, then delete to match your budget/what you are comfortable with. The balance of the 5% is payable upon signing the contract. Edit: Oh and be warned, kitchen and flooring upgrades are ridiculously expensive. Re: Building with Wisdom Homes 393Feb 02, 2015 5:09 pm Thanks Extreme - it's $1500 for KDR tender vs $1000 for new housing estate tender. Fully prepared for the cost of kitchen/flooring upgrades, although all the structural changes like extra windows seem to be within reason except for insulation. I have a 10k P.A to go to Soundscreen for internal first floor walls and between floors. Contract Signing is after the End Panel to get a fully fixed cost am I correct? Contract Signing is after the End Panel to get a fully fixed cost am I correct? No, the end panel is right at the end of the admin process, basically once its signed off and variations paid for, its then off to construction pre start/estimating. Basically its: Tender Tender Acceptance Contract Plans Contract signing selections DA approval draft end panel end panel/construction plans Da approval and signing off on selections usually occurs at the same time, however draft end panel cant occur until all selections/da approval is obtained.
