I love your idea to frame it. That will look stunning. I have found some on ebay - just trying to find the right one now for my space. And agree that DIY might be the best way to go. I will add it to the list of ideas & see what my DYI DH can do! (hehe - he loves my little projects) Thanks again for the info Re: The Story of Stormy's Castle.**FIT OFF UNDERWAY!!!** 1014Jul 19, 2009 1:04 pm No probs Louise! We've just had a good look at the house through dirty windows and found lots more progress this week! Mostly on Friday too, I assume. *All tiles delivered (tiler begins tomorrow). *Alarm points installed. *Heating and cooling ceiling vents, air return grill thingy and control panel installed. *All fit outs of wardrobes and linen cupboards (that we could see!) Through the windows it looks good, but we won't be able to have a close look until Wednesday week. My SS is on holidays this week, and will also address the portico issue when he returns. I sent photos with an explanation to my CSA on Friday after mentioning it over the phone. On closer inspection today, it looks as though it 'may' be a framing issue, as it's the gutters and the fascia attached to the frame that are out, not the bricks from what we could tell. I have some pics, and will put them up when I get a chance. Fingers crossed we still have handover at the end of August, but I guess it depends now on what happens with the portico issue, and how easy it is to fix. Approximately 5 weeks and counting...(but not holding my breath...) Henley - Wilshire Mk 3 ... I love my house!! Our front door had matt undercoat, and then the first coat of gloss looked a bit disappointing. The final finish was nice and shiny though, so I'm sure yours will be fine. Re: The Story of Stormy's Castle.**FIT OFF UNDERWAY!!!** 1016Jul 19, 2009 1:53 pm Thanks Kek, I certainly hope ours gets painted again a little closer to handover. Maybe they'll do it after the PCI if/when they need to come back for other touch ups. I'm getting excited again, but the wait is kiling me.. Henley - Wilshire Mk 3 ... I love my house!! It's very similar to our chalk beige, but just a bit lighter We are at a similar stage so if you have been told 5 weeks then I hope the same applies to us as I can't wait to get into the new house now What suburb/estate are you building in again? Re: The Story of Stormy's Castle.**FIT OFF UNDERWAY!!!** 1018Jul 19, 2009 10:03 pm Hi Hels, I'm assuming 5 weeks as I was told as a rough estimation 3 weeks ago it would be 8 weeks! I won't see my SS until Wed week, then I should have another 'rough' estimation! It could be more, or it could be less. I guess a lot of it depends on what I find at the next site meeting and how much stuff they need to fix after PCI. I'm hoping they can sort out the portico issue all within that time. I am desperate to get in now and start making it 'ours' with all the lovely personal touches. Can't wait to start on the garden either...I have big plans! Just have to get front fence and driveway done first. Stil slowly packing things here! I'm in an established area in the SE burbs, not a new estate. For privacy reasons I'd prefer not to publically reveal my suburb/Council! I'll send you a PM instead! Haven't had a chance to do up the pics yet, but they'll be online tomorrow sometime!
