Love reading ur thread. Re: The Story of Stormy's Castle.**I'M PLASTERED!! ;-)** 875Jun 10, 2009 12:19 am Tillie Loving the curved wall Stormy!!! Hope the work keeps going for you The plaster looks great, I cannot wait for mine Thanks Tillie, nothing done today that I could tell on my 2 drive-by's. I haven't been on site since last Tuesday! I've been terribly busy and away over the weekend. Now it's a freezing muddy mess and I can't be bothered to get out of the car, change shoes and have a look! I'll probably organise a meeting with my SS next week or the week after to properly look at the plaster and talk about the plaster inspection (if it's been done at that stage), and hopefully check out my kitchen!! You'll be plastered shortly!! Ryan Oliver House looks huge Stormy. Congrats mate! How does it all feel? Your ensuite looks massive! Cheers Ryan! It's not terribly big...just spacious and the ground floor is fairly open plan. It will look smaller once it's filled with furniture. Yeah, the ensuite is quite big, and we made it smaller as we deleted the bath and extended the WIR. Had it still had the bath, then it may look smaller. My Husband jokes that we could have a party in there! It all feels pretty good! I'm just dying to move in and get out of this box! beegeers Hi stormy Ur home is being built so quickly - facde and the bricks combination look very majestic and make a lovely impressive street appeal Love the curved walls and spacy feeling inside ur home Must say they are are going real quick. Love reading ur thread. Thanks beegeers! The build has been going at a nice steady pace. No other delays apart from the 3 weeks for the brickies, and the tradies have been doing a great job! We are at the start of week 19, and could still be about 14 weeks away from handover. I'm really happy with the way the facade and my colours have turned out. It blends in well with the rest of the homes in the established area, and doesn't stand out (other than it's beauty LOL ). I think my neighbours are happy we went for something more traditional, than ultra modern. At this stage, I cannot fault the professionalism of my CSA and SS, and the excellent and efficient work done by the tradies. Fingers crossed it continues! Hopefully I'll have more photo updates soon, but they will be through windows. Henley - Wilshire Mk 3 ... I love my house!! The fixing carpenter is away (not sure when he gets back), and the rain may hold up a few things, including the garage roof tiles and the rendering. There are a couple if little issues with the plaster (which is really to be expected and nothing out of the ordinary), but all will be addressed. I'll organise an official meeting in a couple of weeks once the fix has been done so I can go through the place again, and also get the flooring people in to measure before the painting gets done. He still couldn't give away any indication of a rough handover date, but will know more once the painting is done...which is still a few weeks away! I thought twice about driving past in the afternoon, as it had been showery all day and honestly didn't expect anything to happen. I was totally gobsmacked to see the garage roof tiles had been (mostly) laid! I didn't have my camera with me, so these were taken this morning. Not sure whose car is in the garage, but there was a bit of nailing I could hear going on inside! Nice bonus when something gets done when you least expect it! I am also looking forward to the day when a tradie parks his ute in my garage! Beautiful gal bummer about the chippe hope he comes back from holidays HOW DARE they tke time off when ppls houses have to be finished off Cheers Tarin! It doesn't concern me too much about the fixing carpenter not being here at the moment....coz I HAVE STAIRS!!!! That will explain the nail banging going on this morning when I went to take pics of the roof. No pics though, Hubby doesn't have a camera and he was peering through the windows, not me! We also have a delivery of internal doors too!!! Henley - Wilshire Mk 3 ... I love my house!!
