Roof sheets of all things.. The roof line hasn't changed from slab down.. Plenty of time to get it ordered. It amazes me how some houses have such a great continuity in their build every week something happening, yet my house is at snails pace! If it were my company id want to get it done in a timely manner to get paid..not to mention it's good customer service to keep your word, This isn't a 250k house it's a fair bit more. Will update in a week - most likely nothing to report but more disappointment. Hope everyone else's build is on schedule! Re: Ben Trager Build 8Jun 29, 2014 10:42 pm Have the sheets been delivered and you're waiting for the roof-sheeter? or has the colorbond not arrived yet? We waited a few weeks between the roof framing and colorbond. The colorbond was delivered a week before the sheeter started. Re: Ben Trager Build 9Jul 27, 2014 5:16 pm Hi erinmarie Do you have any updates? We're thinking of building with Ben Trager, I take it you're having some issues? Ted Re: Ben Trager Build 10Jul 27, 2014 8:01 pm I know I am building with Ben Trager (actually we could still pull out if we wanted to, but don't) so I may be slightly biased but if you read through all the threads on this forum you'll see more often than not people have multiple problems with all builders, some very major problems - with very big name builders. I wouldn't rule out a company completely, especially if in the end the problems are rectified. Everyone is going to have their issues ![]() Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Ben Trager Build 11Jul 30, 2014 2:34 am ![]() Another week down ,( that's 4 weeks and counting) waiting on roof sheets. Hi I am too in the same situation 4 weeks and counting only my roof sheets aren't in a back order they are sitting on the ground in front of our so called build!! No excuse given, and no reply to emails!! BT sure needs a lesson in customer service, as well as business etiquette. Re: Ben Trager Build 12Jul 30, 2014 11:29 am Have you tried phoningu unhappychappie? If yours is the corner lot build, when I went past on the weekend your upper floor roof sheets looked to have started to go on and your upper floor base coat render had been done. Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Ben Trager Build 13Aug 04, 2014 10:56 pm Another week gone sailing by, no result...... no work..... Why am I surprised? Today was a beautiful day for progress. The BT empire obviously didn't have us on their agenda.... yet AGAIN!! Sorry I didn't come across this forum before we started this farce, as it has not been presenting a glowing advert not even mediocre. Still very much an unhappy chappie! Re: Ben Trager Build 14Aug 04, 2014 11:18 pm Have you actually spoken to them and found out why and/or when things will commence again? Yes archetto we have spoken to them, and no we don't get adequate reasons only telling us that jobs are scheduled in for this week.... We were told this 4 weeks ago!!!! Re: Ben Trager Build 17Aug 14, 2014 11:28 am That sucks! Unhappy chappie ;( Our roof isn't finished yet but other trades have commenced. It was sitting there for another 3 weeks with no progress, a light switch was in the middle of our wall instead of near the door & we just found a door frame that's 720mm instead of 820mm :/ I understand what you mean about not getting answers! We never get an answer always "soon" or "we are waiting on ..." This house was meant to be done end of July as promised..it's not even at lock up. We've had to move house with a 2 week old baby as our lease was up & couldn't move into our home as it's not done. 2 moves is not ideal or cost effective but that's Ben trager homes for you! Id hate to put my name on a company that can't keep their word & isn't reputable. Goodluck to All. Re: Ben Trager Build 18Aug 14, 2014 10:01 pm ![]() That sucks! Re: Ben Trager Build 19Aug 30, 2014 12:34 pm Hmmmmmmm.................. I'm building with BT too, I feel for you erinmarie, we are renting too and given the 40week build time quoted it's going to be tight on our rental lease, everything was steaming along up until now..................no brickies, hope to hell they get all there other ducks in a row and manage to get the time line back. Re: Ben Trager Build 20Aug 30, 2014 4:46 pm Hi Druid every builder has a delay on brickies, usually around 7 weeks as average unfortunatly!
