And you have achieved it in not long at all . I can't wait for mine . Aiming for summer lol There are two mango trees at the back, and a bunch of grape vines. The rest are various shade trees. We also have a bunch of fruit trees on the left hand side of our block. But you can't see them in these pics. Roll on Summer And roll on patio Toni's thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=71645 Re: DJ & Toni's Ellenbrook 225May 24, 2015 12:12 am Thanks for that, we have 15m from our house to the back fence and another 3.5m on other side, so trying to find ideas for the space, I do want some fruit trees! You will have plenty of space for fruit trees Consider some dwarf fruit trees as well. Depending on how big your family is, you might not need to have all big trees. Your kids have so much space to run around - wonderful. You've done a great job of it in such a short time too Re: DJ & Toni HGWA Paint work 228Sep 05, 2015 12:13 am Looking for some feedback.....we have always been unsure about the paint job HGWA did for us. For one thing , the colour of our interior does not look like what we picked. Anyway, we signed in the contract that we wouldn't contest colour variations. But the main problem is that the paint peels off the wall so easy. We have patches of paint coming off. We had a painter come into do some work, he suggested that the walls were not sealed. Hence the paint peeling off. Not only that, but the paint that was used by the HGWA painter was not dulux paint (which was specified in our contract) it was a cheap imitation. We found the left over paint in our garage. That's why the colour didn't match what we picked. Has anyone had a similar thing happen to them. This is a real problem because at some point we are going to have to strip it, seal it and have it repainted! And I always thought it was because he might of mixed the sealer in with the paint . As he had to paint the house which was small though in 2 days . I don't know how far you won't to take it but the building commition say that you have 7 year workmanship on your house . Maybe worth checking out . The problem we found that when we painted again it would peel off as we painted in areas . Hopefully you get some ideas on here Re: DJ & Toni's HGWA paint work 230Sep 05, 2015 11:33 pm That is a bit of a worry Tonk I'd have thought they'd have to fix that for sure! Re: DJ & Toni's HGWA paint work 231Sep 10, 2015 8:31 am Thanks guys....Mel, maybe our painter mixed sealer in with the paint too. I think talking to building commission is a good idea. Some painters will advise leaving walls for 6 months before they are painted. But, who wants to do that right? and if the builder is tasked with painting, they also have a timeframe to meet so they just do it. Sealers are another potential issue and as I understand it with the painting std, walls being a new strata should get sealed, then undercoat then two coats of paint...But i guess these days often the sealer and undercoat are mixed and i'm not sure if that also leads to an inferior finish. I'm disappointed with out painting but mostly due to the plaster work. I will never do a double brick build with grey float and white set again. Dry wall all the way for us in the future!
