So much to do! 142Sep 06, 2014 7:24 pm archetto Wow how big is your block? how many meters is it from the back of your house to your back fence? Its about 25m from back of house to back fence. Melsie68 At least they didnt leave you with weeds at the back . That is huge . How big is your block ? Ha ha...well almost, there are a nice crop of bindi and such that we need to get rid of ASAP, before they seed, or we will be pulling them out of our turf next year. The block is 1020m2. We were fortunate to find it We've enlisted a landscape designer to help us organise our plan of attack, because at the moment, I don't know how we are going to go from what's in my head to reality, and make it work Thank you Rosie Toni's thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=71645 Re: DJ & Toni's Ellenbrook Build with HGWA. What thoughts do you have regarding window treatments. What are you going with? Who are you going with? On the up side...we have ordered our security doors from Ellenbrook doors & screens. Troy is fast becoming the Ellenbrook security "go to" man Oh I'm gonna be no help because I can't decide. I really want shutters, but the cost is putting me off. Then I think venetian's but, like shutters as well, the cleaning puts me off. So I go back to what we have here which is two way blinds (I can see out but people outside can't see in!) with curtains for at night ... and husband hates them and doesn't want them. If he had his way we would go back to two houses ago, where we had solid roller blinds, with a sheer over the top and then a curtain over that. Overkill!! I'm going to watch here and see what everyone else recommends ... coz I have no clue! Re: DJ & Toni's Ellenbrook Build with HGWA. So much to do! 148Sep 10, 2014 11:20 am LOL Marcia. Sounds like the same dilemma. Toni's thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=71645 Re: DJ & Toni's Ellenbrook Build with HGWA. So much to do! 149Sep 10, 2014 12:43 pm I have roller blinds one blockout and a sunscreen . They are different colour and I love the way the room looks when I have the blockout up. The only problem they can let dlsome light in the sides of the windows . And that they had put 4 individual panals on my slidding doors .they could of put 1 big one in the middle where door opens .and one on either side . Number two pain putting them up and down. But I think they look good .modern .but I do like curtains very homely looking Re: DJ & Toni's Ellenbrook Build with HGWA. So much to do! 150Sep 10, 2014 4:09 pm Thanks for feedback Melsie. Re: DJ & Toni's Ellenbrook Build with HGWA. So much to do! 152Sep 10, 2014 4:20 pm No help here either as I cant make up my mind too. Plus more than likely will have sheets as our neverending earthworks, shed and pool ate all the money haha. Re: DJ & Toni's Ellenbrook Build with HGWA. So much to do! 153Sep 10, 2014 4:25 pm Sheets are way more classy than newspaper lol Re: DJ & Toni's Ellenbrook Build with HGWA. So much to do! 154Sep 10, 2014 4:39 pm belzey Sheets are way more classy than newspaper lol I have giant A2 sized post-its at the moment in the rental as window coverings. Sheets are going to be the equivalent to shutters when we move haha Re: DJ & Toni's Ellenbrook Build with HGWA. So much to do! 155Sep 10, 2014 4:56 pm Whatever you do don't spray water and then cover with foil ... our first house, the previous owners rocked that look ... and that stuff is nasty to get off! Ha ha...1000 thread count sheets it is then belzey I think I am just going white wood look with sheers in the activity, living and master...this could change though like it has a few times haha! Im thinking the same. I've had to make a decision so I've decided on having white wood look venetians in the family/ dining room windows and all other small windows (bathroom, theatre). I will eventually put up sheers over the family room ones, like this Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I've picked up some translucent sheers for the sliding doors and curtains for the bedrooms. I will post pics as they get put up. There is so much to do that it might take a while Toni's thread viewtopic.php?f=31&t=71645 Re: DJ & Toni's Ellenbrook Build with HGWA. Timber blinds 160Sep 23, 2014 11:21 pm Looks really good . Have you moved in yet ? Just wondering did you say you sealed your grout . It could be just the photo but your grout looks darker . My bathrooms are grouted with the same colour as my living room .ensuite sealed though so I'm thinking that's why it's darker . We have now decided that we will borrow more money (if we are able too ) don't really won't too but it's the only way the backs going to get done so their will be a patio a shed and some grass . I hate grass lol . And problem some coloured concerte . Agg to much to do at the back . No pool like in the old house . But we will save in elec bill. so that's a bonus .
