Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Suffolk Park Estate - Caversham, WA 21Mar 06, 2015 5:59 pm Ours was held up because we upgraded the ducted to a 15.8kw system and added a few extra runs of conduit for the projector in the theatre. They are submitting the approvals today so hopefully will have ours back in a week. Re: Suffolk Park Estate - Caversham, WA 22Mar 06, 2015 7:09 pm I asked what the time delay roughly is in my build and got this response: We are currently applying for all of your approvals needed for construction, these are things like water, energy efficiency, developers approval and engineering approval. Each of these approvals takes roughly around 1-2 weeks to be approved from the time we apply for them and unfortunately we can’t approve for one until the first one has been approved. All of these approvals should take roughly 1-2 months for us to achieve and then we can apply for your building license which takes around roughly 3 weeks to be approved. Once we have all of these approvals including your building license we then begin your final scheduling stages, where all materials for your house are confirmed and set aside, final checks are performed on your contract and plans and your provisional sums that can be fixed in before construction are sent off for exact quotes and fixed in. This process takes roughly 4 weeks to complete and at the end of this I am able to raise your final variation and have your plans amended to their final drawing and send these out to you so you can sign them off and enter construction. The raising of the variation only takes approximately 1 week to raise and have plans completed. So looks a few months away for us Re: Suffolk Park Estate - Caversham, WA 25Mar 18, 2015 5:15 pm No updates yet - called up a couple days ago and just got some run-around about how it takes a few weeks from receiving council permits to booking trades. Hopeful by the end of the month it is all sorted and we can start building Re: Suffolk Park Estate - Caversham, WA 27Apr 07, 2015 11:20 pm Yeah they have been down a week now, I went past last Tuesday and 3 had been down, then went past on Thursday and another 2 down. So last I checked before the long weekend I believe there were 5 already down, 4 on Langdon and 1 on Greenfields crescent Re: Suffolk Park Estate - Caversham, WA 29Apr 22, 2015 8:23 am My pad isn't down yet Waiting on the neighbors consent forms for a retaining wall between the two blocks, that falls on our side of the block. Quite frustrating, our scheduling is done so all we are waiting on now is the building permit! Re: Suffolk Park Estate - Caversham, WA 31May 06, 2015 5:24 pm I've seen there's quite a few houses with pad down and materials delivered. One or two already with most brickwork done. We just had a huge pile of sand dumped on our block, so that's going to need to be removed before we can start our earth works Re: Suffolk Park Estate - Caversham, WA 34May 13, 2015 5:12 pm Grats man We're about 2 weeks from slab down still now. Spoke with our CLO and siteworks booked for early next week with concreters booked the week after. Hopefully start moving at your pace! Re: Suffolk Park Estate - Caversham, WA 38Jul 29, 2015 5:24 am SmokeyD Been waiting on tiles just like every other man and his dog. Told today that they have been delivered - and tiler will commence end of this week. You're alive! Haha. Have you checked if they arrived yet?
