Re: Our first home Dunedin 29 Porter Davis - Merrifield,Vict 85Sep 26, 2014 8:34 am Hi all, I have added our electrical layout and our colour selections to our blog. Any feedback or advice would be greatly appreciated. http://dunedin29.blogspot.com.au/p/electrical-selection.html http://dunedin29.blogspot.com.au/p/colour-selections.html Re: Our first home Dunedin 29 Porter Davis - Merrifield,Vict 86Sep 28, 2014 7:32 pm Went back to the display home today with our drawings and a tape measure to make sure they show what we really want. Contract appointment tomorrow morning. It's going to be a long day but hopefully a smooth one. If anyone has any last minute advice please share I posted some photos of the Dunedin 29 display home on our blog. Check it out: http://dunedin29.blogspot.com.au/2014/09/back-to-where-it-all-began.html Re: Our first home Dunedin 29 Porter Davis - Merrifield,Vict 87Oct 05, 2014 5:08 pm Hi All, We need some advice please. In the rush of the colour appointment we made a bit of an 'on the spot' decision. We agreed with the consultant's recommendation of painting the skirting, architraves and internal doors in the same colour as the walls 'Winter Mushroom'. We got told these were going to be in a gloss finish so there will be a nice contrast between the two. After looking at some more display homes, we are thinking of going with White for the skirting, architraves and internal doors. I think it would look nicer like that. Any thoughts or advice? Thanks in advance Re: Our first home Dunedin 29 Porter Davis - Merrifield,Vict 88Oct 05, 2014 5:11 pm I like white for all trimmings as it gives a nice outline and contrast to whatever color you have on your walls....... If you start coloring the trimmings, not all colors will go with the trimmings...just something to be aware of. Is there any additional cost involved? Now to try and get this changed through our BC... Thanks FF Re: Our first home Dunedin 29 Porter Davis - Merrifield,Vict 90Oct 05, 2014 6:43 pm FYI... we asked if changing the colour and got a very blunt no. Re: Our first home Dunedin 29 Porter Davis - Merrifield,Vict 91Oct 05, 2014 6:59 pm tlblhayward FYI... we asked if changing the colour and got a very blunt no. Interesting... I'm pretty sure the displays have this option, so why can't it be done in our homes to be? Also she had to add a note to the end of the selections to state that it needs to be the same colour. So your wall paint is also your internal door colour too? Re: Our first home Dunedin 29 Porter Davis - Merrifield,Vict 92Oct 05, 2014 7:06 pm Our internal doors are one colour and skirting/architraves are another. Thanks for the info, I'll take it up with PD. Re: Our first home Dunedin 29 Porter Davis - Merrifield,Vict 94Oct 05, 2014 7:13 pm Correction: I just dug up my colour selections and the internal door, skirting and architraves are all the same colour. SORRY! SORRY! Ah! May I ask how it is noted on the document? Re: Our first home Dunedin 29 Porter Davis - Merrifield,Vict 96Oct 06, 2014 8:53 pm Hi all, Spoke to our BC and World of Style consultant today. They confirmed that we can in fact choose two colours. One for our internal walls and one for architraves, skirting and internal doors. We are going to go with white to break up the rest of the wall paint. Thanks to all that helped! Re: Our first home Dunedin 29 Porter Davis - Merrifield,Vict 97Oct 08, 2014 5:38 pm Apparently we need to provide a landscape plan so the builder can forward it to the developer for approval. I don't know where to start! Any suggestions? http://dunedin29.blogspot.com.au/2014/1 ... quest.html Re: Our first home Dunedin 29 Porter Davis - Merrifield,Vict 98Oct 11, 2014 3:12 pm Hi all, We had a look through the new PD display home at Imagine Estate in Strathfieldsaye (Bendigo) today. Got a few photos on our blog if anyone would like to have a look. http://dunedin29.blogspot.com.au/2014/10/imagine-estate-pd-dunedin-29-display.html The only thing that we didn't like was the MASSIVE windows they had put into the living area, especially the one behind the TV. Having said that we thought the rest of the home was awesome but we're biased Cheers Re: Our first home Dunedin 29 Porter Davis - Merrifield,Vict 99Oct 11, 2014 3:21 pm Joea... I loved it too, and I agree with you about the massive window behind the TV. I have uploaded the photos that I took as well. Sorry the I wasn't able to meet you! http://bendigowaldorf.blogspot.com/2014/10/photos-of-pd-display-home-at-opening.html P.S: I'm going to steal some on your photos because I only had my phone. All good, I will have a look through your photos now. Haha no worries, mine were taken on an iPhone too. Didn't want to carry my DSLR around all day. Cheers 1.
