Received another construction update today, estimated date to arrange Practical Completion Inspection should be around August 6!! Super excited Fantastic news! We are on a similar timeframe I think. Last Friday they said 7 weeks until completion however speaking with the site supervisor on Monday he seemed to think it would more likely be around the end of this month Love your tile selections. Photos as promised- We were just told that we are looking towards end of August for handover - will know closer we get. Our kitchen benchtops hadn't been installed as of last night. Hopefully soon, though, am dying to see how it looks with the tiles (second guessing choices again ) Wow, loving your kitchen Kailie! Cannot wait to see the finished kitchen island - was that a custom choice? And the timber look garage door is fantastic. It is all coming together really well, you must be so happy. And you could be finished by the end of the month - incredible!! And you could be finished by the end of the month - incredible!! I am always second guessing our selections as well!!! Probably because we made them so long ago. At the moment I am second guessing our colour choice for the cladding and whether it will clash with the colour of the garage door. I suppose if it does it's something that we can easily repaint after handover. This was just the standard Kitchen in the Loxton, the kitchen was the main reason we chose this house over the Pellagrino. I just love that it has a huge island bench and that it's all solely bench space, no sink or anything. Lots of room for cooking and baking after handover We are off to buy our tiles for the patio area this weekend (my brother was a tiler before he moved away to work in the mines so he is going to lay them for us) we are getting tiles the same as our interior for $600 cheaper then what PB quoted us during the tender process. Gotta be happy with that Did they say what's next for you place? Will they start painting soon? :-D Modified Miami 31- Brighton Homes https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=91265&f=31&p=1789112#p1789112 Re: Regatta 2920- Planbuild (Brisbane). I think I remember you have an electrician in the family who is doing electrical work for you after handover too? We are hoping to do diy decking over our concrete slab alfresco. Have heard that painters should be here late next week. Fixing Stage Complet 69Jul 04, 2014 6:52 pm I love the dark tiles with the white kitchen. Looks great! Yes we have an electrician in the family so we were able to save a little bit of money on a couple of things Went be the site this afternoon, the cornices have been fitted, the gas line has been connected and the gutter has been cut/driveway and all walkways/alfresco area prepped and ready for the concrete to be poured No sign of the tiler yet though so I suppose that will be next week as well Would love to be able to go inside and take some photos after the tiles are in however it's already all locked up so we might just have to wait until we can get on site when someone is there. :-D Modified Miami 31- Brighton Homes https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=91265&f=31&p=1789112#p1789112 Re: Regatta 2920- Planbuild (Brisbane). Still a little worried about our choice of colour for the render/cladding but we will wait and see I suppose. From what I have seen of the tiles through the window I think they look nice so we are happy with that and our selections in the kitchen/bathrooms. I am wishing we had upgraded the laundry to actual cabnitery instead of just having the tub but oh well, it's just the laundry! We'll just have to install some cupboards or something post handover. How about you? Happy with everything you've selected so far? Hoping the kids are feeling better and that things start happening again soon for you. :-D Modified Miami 31- Brighton Homes https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=91265&f=31&p=1789112#p1789112 Re: Regatta 2920- Planbuild (Brisbane). How about you? Happy with everything you've selected so far? I guess with the exterior colours, it's not too hard to change them if you really don't like them. And same with the laundry cabinetry. I think as long as you are happy with the bigger picture and don't want to change anything structural, then it's all good I'm still not in love with the mortar colour. And really want to see how the interior paint goes with everything. But on the whole, I am happy. dsbuild Both your houses are looking great! We too are thinking of putting decking over our slab.
