Browse Forums Building A New House Re: homegroup wa love the monte carlo, but should we sign? 15May 30, 2014 11:43 pm Thank you. Yea I reckon whoever you build with there will be a chance something won't go to plan! I've searched a lot of different builders but this was the only one that had the rear living layout on a 15m wide block and left a bit of garden space to look at from the rear living!! With plenty of very nice inclusions as well!! Re: homegroup wa love the monte carlo, but should we sign? 16Oct 17, 2014 12:11 pm Hey how are you? did you end up choosing HGWA, we are at the final stages of our build and would recommend HGWA to anyone, and problems we had they went all out to fix we built the monte carlo as well Re: homegroup wa love the monte carlo, but should we sign? 17Oct 17, 2014 2:09 pm Hello cozandree. Yes we're all signed up n ready to go. Good to hear yours has been a positive experience. Re: homegroup wa love the monte carlo, but should we sign? 18Oct 18, 2014 8:52 pm They are ok, you will just have to allow 6 month for their administration side before construction begin, realise that if you chose another company in 6 months time your house could of been completed after the administration Homegroup will take another 10 months to complete build. Tips for Homegroup WA prestart make sure that any upgrades or changes you make that they make deductions before they add the addition because they seem to always add cost, but sometimes can miss out on the deductions. If you chose a house package without the finishes, aircon, driveway. it will be a better option. as you will be better of doing it yourself, as you will be able to complete it faster and cheaper, for aircon just go to Ford and Doonan, Tiling just go to European tiles, Crosby tiles, carpet any local carpet store. + Also expect lots of delays in every trade. and no guidelines as to even an anticipated date of completion. save yourself time and money and see if you can get the option without the finishes, external works, and aircon and do a costing yourself. to see if you would be better off. Re: homegroup wa love the monte carlo, but should we sign? 20Oct 18, 2014 9:03 pm Also note that any limestone colour bricks for austral will go green in colour, so it ok if you have your front of house fully rendered but if not, expect a limestone and green front house. Prestart is probably still a while away for you but in the mean time if u do decide to do the package, check out crosby tiles, euopean tiles, and also carpet call head office. just tell them that you are building with homegroup wa and they will tell you what is included in their package, you want to try and get back to them asap with the prestart selections as if it takes 2 months to decide on the selections it will push u back 2 months in the queue of construction. 1 2992 Joe, it depends on your certifier but we are noticing the ones we deal with are really cracking down.
