Whereabouts are you? Do you have any plans or selection pics to post up? Build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65085 Re: Building a Beckham - Plantation (Henley) 5May 28, 2014 7:28 am Pearz, we should settle on the land mid July. We should have everything ready to go to council once this is done. I would imagine we might start building August/September. EmyN, our piece of land is located in Rochedale. As yet we havent selections. We are having our colour meeting tomorrow. We have made little changes such as a window behind the kitchen bench, higher ceilings downstairs and 2 sets of timber stackers doors to the alfresco area. Re: Building a Beckham - Plantation (Henley) 7May 29, 2014 10:05 am Hi there! We're building a Beckham in Loganlea. Nice to see someone in Brisbane also building a Beckham. We're about to get to onsite stage shortly so we're hoping to get a start date in the next week or so. How far along are you with Plantation at the moment? Re: Building a Beckham - Plantation (Henley) 8May 29, 2014 10:06 am Hi! We are also looking to build double story with Plantation this year in the new Ripley Ecco estate - would love to build the beckham but it's just a touch over budget, so we're keen to go with the Soho 4! Hopefully we will have as good an experience as I had with Coral Homes a few years ago - fingers crossed Looking forward to following your progress - I hope you have a smooth ride creating your dream home! 2014 - Prepping to build the Soho 4 with Plantation homes, industrial style 2009 - Built the Brampton with Coral Homes viewtopic.php?f=31&t=15399&start=280 Re: Building a Beckham - Plantation (Henley) 9May 29, 2014 10:08 am Actually, ya'll can probably help answer one of my questions - did you get ducted air con, stone benches to bath and ensuite, or raise the ground floor ceiling height to 2590mm? If so how much did it cost? We had a prelim quote from the Augustine Heights consultant through yesterday but I have added these ones on today and just waiting for pricing. Thanks! 2014 - Prepping to build the Soho 4 with Plantation homes, industrial style 2009 - Built the Brampton with Coral Homes viewtopic.php?f=31&t=15399&start=280 Re: Building a Beckham - Plantation (Henley) 10May 29, 2014 10:24 am Wow Jess I drive past Ecco Ripley on my way to work - you must be going to be one of the founding members there hey? Build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65085 Re: Building a Beckham - Plantation (Henley) 11May 29, 2014 10:41 am Yep Emy N, which is VERY scary! We're looking at a north facing elevated (but should be already benched and compacted) lot in Stage 2 - we're just holding out for 1. our house to sell and 2. a bit more construction to be done on stage 2 - i really like to see the lay of the land before i commit, so visual! We also have looked at Providence, but one of sales guys indicated they had been hitting quite a bit of sandstone, although the blocks are supposed to be flat with less than 1% fall "apparently". I just dislike two things - that I can't SEE it yet, and that they refuse to give out a stock list! They're only handing out individual prices on lots, which is very frustrating. Wouldn't be problem if you could drive around the streets and go "I like that one, price me up!" but when you're buying of the plan a stock price list is very handy 2014 - Prepping to build the Soho 4 with Plantation homes, industrial style 2009 - Built the Brampton with Coral Homes viewtopic.php?f=31&t=15399&start=280 Re: Building a Beckham - Plantation (Henley) 12May 29, 2014 10:56 am Eeep sandstone is not good! :/ We had enough bloody rock at our place but thank God it was more of a shale rock which broke up relatively easily. Sounds good about the lot you're thinking about. I think we're lucky here in QLD we have our pick our land lots and can wait before commiting - I still can't believe in some other states they have to camp out overnight to secure their place in lotteries for buying land! Nuts! Providence is very new, I've only seen the signs the past 2 weeks or so! Is that another little estate on the other side of the highway? Has it even started construction yet? Amazing progress around this area. Sorry for hijacking your thread a little Haggismac! (Do you have a build thread yet Jess?) Build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65085 Re: Building a Beckham - Plantation (Henley) 13May 29, 2014 12:08 pm Providence is going to be 7000 lots, crazy big. Sorry Haggismac!! I'll start a thread so you can hijack it too, haha =p My old build thread from 5 years ago is still around EmyN, better start a new one! 2014 - Prepping to build the Soho 4 with Plantation homes, industrial style 2009 - Built the Brampton with Coral Homes viewtopic.php?f=31&t=15399&start=280 Re: Building a Beckham - Plantation (Henley) 14May 29, 2014 5:33 pm Hi kimmi_baby - How far along are you with Plantation at the moment? Well we actually just got home from a day at the Plantation head office and studio. We have gone through our tender showing final costings (apart from any changes we made in the colour selection today). We also sat down and did all out colours top to bottom, inside and out. Pics soon on our colour selection. Hi Jess09 - We are getting ducted but have gone with my own contractor. This was around 12K. We did the higher ceilings this was in the region of 3-4k and the stone tops to the bathrooms was between $800 and $1000... Ill try to get out colour photos up tonight. Re: Building a Beckham - Plantation (Henley) 15May 29, 2014 6:03 pm Our colour selection. We were inspired by industrial themes but wanted it in a family friendly way. First up: Kithcen Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Tile will be throughout the bottom floor except living room We wil have the white tiles as the splash back as well as a window Top cupboards will be in white, bottom cupboards in the dark colour Bench tops in the lighter quartz Re: Building a Beckham - Plantation (Henley) 19May 29, 2014 6:15 pm and last but not least is our ensuite. It might not be to everyones taste but we were very happy with our choice. Again the dark grey tile will be on the floor, however this time will continue floor to ceiling wall tiles as well. Matched with the dark bench tops and dark cabinets. We are very excited..... Re: Building a Beckham - Plantation (Henley) 20May 29, 2014 7:25 pm Good looking selections!
