Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 26, 2014 11:42 pm Hi So after hanging around and watching everyone's builds for a few months I thought I'd join in on all the fun and start my own little thread. My fiancé and I decided it was time to get our first home. We picked our land in September 2013 and over a few months we excitedly went to visit our block almost every weekend. Our land titled mid April 2014. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ After reviewing a number of floor plans we settled on the Emerson by Carlise. We paid the initial deposit in November 2013 and had our colour selection appointment in early January 2014; with contracts signed shortly after. We bought in clyde and have been to visit our patch of mud way too many times! We love watching our roads and the park across the road being landscaped and built Look forward to watching your build! SO excited for you! Re: Building the Emerson by Carlisle, Sth Eastern Suburbs, V 3May 27, 2014 12:21 pm Thanks Lacey Which estate did you buy in? When is your land expected to title and have you decided on a builder? It's such a rapidly expanding area, we're building in Cranbourne East. Re: Building the Emerson by Carlisle, Sth Eastern Suburbs, V 4May 27, 2014 12:56 pm We bought in pasadena we love it out there so much around and heaps of space and schools, really under rated area I wouldn't of bought anywhere else! Land doesnt title til march 2015 it really is just a paddock of dirt! Re: Building the Emerson by Carlisle, Sth Eastern Suburbs, V 5May 27, 2014 1:01 pm Oh lovely! Yeah it is underrated. My sister built in Selandra rise so it'll be good to be so close to each other. You must be patient....we only had 7 mths to wait and that was long enough for me. It's all so exciting Re: Building the Emerson by Carlisle, Sth Eastern Suburbs, V 6May 27, 2014 1:03 pm Yeah weve got 278 days left til titles come in .... not that im counting .... its back to the partners old stomping grounds so about 10 mins away from mum and family friends. Close but not too close! Haha Re: Building the Emerson by Carlisle, Sth Eastern Suburbs, V 8May 28, 2014 10:27 am thinkpink Hi Vonnie11, congratulations on your build! just a question, are you having bamboo flooring? thanks! Hi thinkpink thanks Yeah we are having bamboo flooring. My sister did herself and the price was much the same as getting done with builder so I thought save the trouble and have Carlisle do it. Couldn't have been more approachable and helpful. Explained everything once and then a second time in laymans terms. Worth have a chat to before signing up with anyone else, especially if your building with Carlisle Homes http://loanstudio.com.au/home Re: Building the Emerson by Carlisle, Sth Eastern Suburbs, V 10May 28, 2014 11:19 am Obviously snuck around at sun down to snap that ! Haha Re: Building the Emerson by Carlisle, Sth Eastern Suburbs, V 11May 28, 2014 11:25 am Couldn't help ourselves... no formwork on Sunday (last visit) to being ready for concrete today Apparently the first few stages are quite fast and then the changes become less noticeable after lockup. Still exciting though.
