Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 17, 2014 9:06 pm I will need to sign Henley HIA contract before land title. I am a bit nervous now. Is there any clause in Henley contract regarding penalty when land delay...... I am still waiting for my contract....if yes, how many days/ amount?? another trouble is we will have provision site cost, Could we get loan for the provision amount? Thanks....... Re: Henley HIA contract 2May 18, 2014 9:50 pm It says that the contract is for start within thirty days but they are very flexible. We signed contracts May last year and still haven't started building due to a delay in land title. They issue us another 30 day extension each month. Having said that you should talk to them about it and explain your expected time frame. Why can't you get fixed site costs? Your loan cannot be finalised until land is titled anyway at which point you will have your site costs as they can get those to you after land titles and before land settlement (usually two weeks).
