Browse Forums Building A New House Re: First build with Simonds Homes: Let the painting begin 21Jul 01, 2014 1:50 am Hi all Just an update... today all internal painting (1st coat) has been finished and tomorrow 2nd coat will get done. So far as outside bricks are concerned, they should be finishing the whole house by the end of this week!! Somehow bricks are cruising along real slowly while the inside is powering along! hehe Hopefully i can get some pics up real soon. Hubby is happy with My choice of wall colour OAK BUFF. He was scared it might of looked to yellow but it actually isnt yellow at all, its looks more beige/white to me. Re: First build with Simonds Homes: Let the painting begin 22Jul 01, 2014 11:06 pm Excellent! Are they spraying it? Or rolling it on? Paint colour was a panic thing for me, I'm still not 100% on it, but glad I changed from my first pick. I'll probably love it once it's on the walls. Glad yours has turned out the way you wanted it to! I'm inlove with the colour now. Apparently the painter who is painting our house only sprayed the ceilings, corners and archs. The rest he is rolling and hand brushing it. Got some more activity in the past few days. Here are some pics as promised BTW sorry about the photo quality. Hubbies phone camera is scratched and you can see black dots and marks all over the pics MASTERTON FACADE Bricks are 99% done. Just waiting on the weatherboards/cladding to be installed. It belongs to one of the brickies. I have told SS about this dog getting into my house and running a muck inside. One time he peed all over our plaster boards. SS went on site and told him do not bring the dog back due to OH&S but I still see this dog on site everyday. Ahhhhhhh Re: Simonds Homes "Prague " Let the painting begin :) 24Jul 05, 2014 10:25 pm The paint looks amazing.... Very very nice. I don't know about waterfall edges after, but you could pop up a post in the kitchen section of this forum and see if the kitchen experts can offer up some advice? Went for walk through last Friday and found 2 doors from the bathroom n bedroom 2 hanging upside down.. Lol what the.... Called SS straight away and he drove up himself and re hung the doors himself the right way... Yes I'm very impressed with his enthusiasm Drove pass our house this afternoon and surprise surprise there was no activity! Silence boohoo lol I think it's true what they say about fixing stage being the longest and slowest stage of all stages! * Bricks are 100% finished now waiting on the claddings to be put up then eaves go up. Should be happening this week. * Our gutter pipes have been put up. * All internal paintings done. Painter will be back to paint all the external stuff once finished. * Brick cleaner will be cleaning the bricks this week aswell * Carpenter will be here installing all the door knobs, wardrobes and shelvings to pantry n that this week, if not then the next week. Well.... I think that's about it from what I can remember from the top of my head. So a few things to look forward to this week. I'm so looking forward to seeing the bricks all cleaned n nice! Can't wait for that...
