I'm trying to better understand the processes/milestones you go through in signing up with a project design/build builder.
For example, if you are waiting on title, is this where a lot of building companies will work with you to refine a design, and perhaps charge a "deposit" on a pending or conditional contract, to tweak one of their designs ( or draft yours up) to a stage ready for council submission?
Or, do you end up really signing a conditional/preliminary contract that also requires a deposit and the builder gets access to your lot to do repegging, site survey etc so they can get their design really suited to your lot, with titles pending?
I'm sure each building company has an ever so slightly different process but I'm keen to see what the steps are from approaching a building company, getting designs etc, lodging plans and where abouts these steps you sign your life away?
