Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 08, 2014 11:11 am Hi all, I'm new to these things but after spending the last few days reading other people experiences I thought we should share ours. So here goes. In late August we decided it was time to move from our old 3x1 in wanneroo. We had thought about buying established again but we wanted something for us. So build it was. We knew we wanted to live around the darch/landsdale area. We obviously went straight to corimbia. We put our name on the waiting list. We then thought to drive around the area and see what else was there. We came across kingsview estate, which after some quick research we found they had some good size blocks. Long story short we ended up buying a 611 sqm block in there. We then looked thru a mountain of display homes & finally found one we thought would suit us. We really wanted bedrooms all to the front so this narrowed down the search really. At the end we really liked the bletchley display from aveling. A few months later and we had what we wanted. We will be off to pre start on the 22nd of may. We are really looking forward to getting everything finalized and sent off. Re: Aveling Home in Landsdale 2May 08, 2014 3:05 pm Can someone please tell me how I can add photos and my plans? Thanks Re: Aveling Home in Landsdale 3May 08, 2014 3:43 pm Hi bernese, in order to add your photos and plans up here you'll first need to upload them to a service like http://tinypic.com/ or http://photobucket.com/. Once you've uploaded them you use the self::bbcode_second_pass_code_cb tags around the hyperlink to that image. Looking forward to seeing your plans. Re: Aveling Home in Landsdale 5May 08, 2014 5:46 pm Lovely plan! We are building with Aveling too. We had our prestart about a month or so ago, now just waiting, waiting, waiting to start on site. My build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=68002 Re: Aveling Home in Landsdale 6May 09, 2014 10:01 am Burnsfirsttime Lovely plan! We are building with Aveling too. We had our prestart about a month or so ago, now just waiting, waiting, waiting to start on site. Thanks, how was your prestart? We are very worried that our tiling is going to blow our budget completely. We are hoping to have 300x600 full height tiles in our ensuite. Hopefully it's not over the top. Re: Aveling Home in Landsdale 7May 10, 2014 9:01 pm We got mostly everything we wanted except the tiling. We wanted 300 x 300 full height tiling and it was just a crazy price. We stayed with 300 x 300 tiles but just to the standard heights. It still cost us $5000 additional to do this for our 3 bathrooms and laundry My build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=68002 Re: Aveling Home in Landsdale 8May 12, 2014 11:14 am Burnsfirsttime We got mostly everything we wanted except the tiling. Do you know how many squares your tiling would add up too? Re: Aveling Home in Landsdale 9May 12, 2014 11:20 am Your plan modifications look great. Hope your prestart goes well. Re: Aveling Home in Landsdale 10May 12, 2014 2:35 pm Our tiling is porcelain, but non rectified. Sorry no idea on the m2 of the tiling My build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=68002 Re: Aveling Home in Landsdale 11May 12, 2014 8:30 pm Ok thanks for that. I guess we will have to wait and see what they come back with. Re: Aveling Home in Landsdale 12May 22, 2014 5:08 pm Prestart done! And it only took a lazy 5 hours.
