Hi Kelsey, thanks for remembering us! haha.. the good news was survey was finished and currently waiting for the 6 star energy approval (they said it takes 2 weeks... so supposed to be finished by end of this week). After that they'll prepare to submit to council for approval. Its been months of waiting.. So I've been keeping my mind off the building process to distract me so I can keep my patience haha My first build journey here https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=71028 Re: Dale Alcock at Heron Park - waiting............ 63Sep 09, 2014 1:16 pm While the waiting continues (currently submitting to water corp, and getting ready for shire approval).. I thought I'd update the final plan with the electrical plan. Any thoughts please let me know.. although I can't really change anything at this stage. But would be good to know some feedbacks still Meanwhile, I'll keep on waiting.. until I get to construction Final Plan Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Electrical Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ My first build journey here https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=71028 Re: Dale Alcock at Heron Park - Ground & Electrical FINAL Pl 64Sep 10, 2014 2:27 pm UPDATE Our water application has been rejected with this reason: SEWER PLANS ARE CURRENTLY UNDER PROPOSAL. PLEASE CONTACT THE VENDOR/DEVELOPER BEFORE RE-SUBMITTING. Sigh............................... Avengers have warned me about this, and unfortunately it did happen. Any advise on what I should do? I felt like I've been massively messed around by the Developer. And I'm only a month away before DAH will impose a price change due to contract expiry date.... I still can't believe the developer can sell you land that is not ready!! maybe talk to your Sales Consultant and see if they have heard about this before. They can probably give you some good advice on what your options are! Once that is done it takes 24-48 hrs to get the water corp approval. Only developer can help you to resolve the issue. Luckily the developer is responding and are currently chasing it up, and I've been kept in the loop so far. Hopefully it doesnt drag on too long. Do you know if they most likely still need to do any civil works? Or this is all more about paperworks? Re: Dale Alcock at Heron Park - Water Application REJECTED : 68Sep 11, 2014 1:04 pm It is more about paper work i.e. Uploading of plans by developer in water corp system. To avoid penalty just make sure your builder has got approval for everything else. In my case water corp was the last approval. Scheduling was completed next day of the water corp approval. Thanks AB. Yeah as things progressed today it seems like more of paperwork things. In fact, the developer is saying that the system is already uploaded into water corporation system (they attached screenshot of Water Corporation as constructed system, showing that my lot's system is already in). So, fingers crossed, its just a matter re-submitting again in the next days or so. The builder is still preparing their documents for shire, council approval etc and saying that they will be ready to be posted end of next week. Since my contract expiry is on 2 November, I think I'm going to be okay. But again, fingers crossed. I just can't wait to get into construction stage. Water Corp system updates internally happens in 2-3 days. Once done then you can re-submit your application which will takes only 24-48 hrs for approval. That will be followed by 10 working days to have tap on your LOT. You can always call water corp directly to find out whether there system is updated or not ? Shire approval will takes 7 days from the submission of the application. All the best. So much house for the space available. If it was me I would move the sink to face the wall rather then the living area. We have our sink in the island bench and I feel like dishes are always on display. It also gives you the biggest space for food prep and space to put out food if you are having people over. With that small in part of the wall if the sink was moved you can 'hide' dirty dishes more then with the sink on the island bench. I hope the water application is sorted out quickly!! Sorry for not replying to this fmac. Thanks for the suggestions, but we can't really modify anything now without paying for fees haha. But anyway we did thought about the sink location, but prefer having it there and keep that bench area on the wall side for putting decorations or small appliances. My wife will guarantee no dirty dishes in most days, she's pretty strict with our house cleaning (drove me nuts sometimes!) YAY Just waiting now for water approval and developer approval, which we are expecting by end of next week latest. I don't think we will have problems with these two *fingers crossed* Then we can start going to site.. hope there will be brickies available around! Another good news, we've got everything approved now and officially in CONSTRUCTION According to my CLO it will be about a month before they will start working on site, but I should get some indication on the start date etc within a couple of weeks. I seriously can't wait to see something on that block of land!! Congrats on finally making it to construction! Fingers crossed you wont be wait too long until you see some action! I think it's harder waiting now because it's no longer you holding up the build but the builder itself! Its funny that when we walk on the slabs we felt the house is so small. But when measuring it on our current bedroom, it is actually the same size. Does it always feel smaller when there's no wall?
