Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 04, 2014 9:02 pm Hi all To everyone having a colorbond roof. Are you installing sarking to your roof line? Is it an additional cost? If so, what was the cost? Is it better to have it included in your build or do it after handover? I don't think you can get it done after. Not sure if there are benefits to having it with colorbond roof. It's a Bradford product if you want to do a quick Google Re: Sarking through builder 6May 05, 2014 11:33 am Sarking would be a really high recommendation from me to get underneath a Colorbond roof. Sarking is essentially reflective foil, which is great under Colorbond, as it will help reflect the heat away from your roof, giving you better insulation performance. It will also help draught and moisture from the roof going past the sarking. While an anitcon blanket is the more preferred option for metal roofs. Not only does it give better insulation value and condensation control, but the added benefit of noise reduction, as metal is not a quiet thing when it rains/hails/storms.
