Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Practically incomplete inspection 1821Nov 11, 2015 11:08 pm Oh archetto that really does suck eggs. And after you've been so patient and cheerful with them too! I hope they get back to you soon with an answer. And I hope you scored big at Adairs! Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Practically incomplete inspection 1822Nov 11, 2015 11:10 pm Wow I don't know what to say. I'm so sorry they are putting you through this. It is the absolute pits. I can't believe you didn't lose it with them you would be well within your rights. I truly hope they get this sorted PDQ. Get Ben down to site if you have to. Sending you massive hugs xxxx Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Practically incomplete inspection 1823Nov 11, 2015 11:19 pm So sorry Archetto! I can't believe how slack they get towards the end. My topic thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=76249&start=20#p1316378 Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Practically incomplete inspection 1825Nov 11, 2015 11:35 pm Oh no. I feel for you. We too are in the same boat. We have a possible PCI in 2 weeks but last 3 days we have seen no trades onsite. We have a long long list of items to fix, long list of items still to perform and no end in site. Ben has assured me we will be in by Xmas but based on your experience i have no confidence. We still do not have external render, have crooked ceilings, misaligned lights, crooked ovens and the list goes on. I cringe every time a new trade may arrive onsite as past experience has shown they just cause more dramas. When will BTH start to sort this mess out. The biggest commitment of your life should be more enjoyable. Its not been any fun for us. Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Practically incomplete inspection 1826Nov 11, 2015 11:41 pm Here, here Dongster. You just keep waiting for the next stuff up and it's never far away. It shouldn't be this hard. I just wish Ben would contact me. Despite emails, requests for a telephone call we've heard nothing. It seems like nobody cares. Not the best advertising for your company is it? Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Practically incomplete inspection 1828Nov 11, 2015 11:49 pm Thanks all, I don't know what to do or how to feel at the moment, every time I feel close to the end it never happens so it honestly does feel like I won't see keys, not this year anyway. i just hope someone gives us some kind of update very soon, preferably hope Ben rings me as requested so I can ask him why he would make such a promise to us. Sigh....at least adairs didn't let me down Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Practically incomplete inspection 1829Nov 12, 2015 12:00 am DandyDons I think he has a long list of unhappy customers and may need to sort us out before building the next display home. . I have had many possibilities to earn $1000 for a referral but could not do it. I dont want others to go through what we have had to. Somewhere there is a light and its what keeps us going. I hope BT may read these posts and realise that he needs to take control. Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Practically incomplete inspection 1830Nov 12, 2015 12:03 am Too late. New display already being built in Baldivis. Bet that won't be 51 weeks and counting. I know of 2 more builds, not on home one that have had just the same trouble. One of them is sitting on week 70 today. Can you imagine? Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Practically incomplete inspection 1831Nov 12, 2015 12:11 am Sorry to hear archetto I hope things turn around quickly for you Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Practically incomplete inspection 1833Nov 12, 2015 1:37 am Sadly I don't know of anyone who is happy with them at the moment for one reason or another, if they are, they are only just at plate height or just commencing upper floor. We were happy then too, then from lower roof stage it all went downhill. I've given them the benefit of the doubt too many times now, today was just embarrassing, it wasn't fun, it didn't achieve anything and it was just a waste of everyone's time. We took insurance out on our house to start from today (seeing as we were meant to get keys in 2 weeks time) does anyone know if we keep this policy going, or do we postpone it? I don't really count today as PCI so I assume we will have another PCI1 and should start it from then? Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Practically incomplete inspection 1834Nov 12, 2015 6:22 am Yay to adairs - I wish there was one over here Sorry can't help with insurance thing but you should be able to cancel it for now? No use paying for something you don't need Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Practically incomplete inspection 1835Nov 12, 2015 9:37 am Absolutely disgusting that they wasted your time to say we havent lifted a finger to get things done. I havent even laid a brick with them yet, and am getting stressed just wondering what the hell is going to happen. I have enlisted the services of a building inspector to go over everything at every stage. The building inspector is well aware of the mishaps BTH has had lately and is on top of it. He said it was because they took on too many homes and in turn ran supervisors ragged and they left the company because of this. Really pisses me off they put more care and priority into their displays homes and give the middle finger to people waiting weeks for one tradie to start a job. Hope they pull thier finger out for you and actually make your job a priority. Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Practically incomplete inspection 1836Nov 12, 2015 10:40 am archetto Thank you all without homeone id be a mess. Thankgod adairs have a sale on today, they know how to make things better! First Build, Commodore Homes, Honeywood, Wandi. viewtopic.php?t=77170 Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Practically incomplete inspection 1837Nov 12, 2015 11:09 am Ben rang me this morning, you know how I said I couldn't even cry about this? Well turns out when you feel a sense of relief you let the tears flow instantly, embarrassing... He has put the area manager onto our job and taken our SS off, thank god. He seems to think we will still get keys on the 25th, but also hasn't seen the list of work to be done yet, I made it clear we cannot have their trades still coming into our home after keys, he said if any trades still had to come back it would only be the window company as he can't control them. Anyway, the area manager will be calling us with an update by tomorrow afternoon at the latest and Ben was meeting with him this morning to discuss a plan. I don't feel confident but all I can do is sit back and hope for a miracle. I just read through your posts and it has made me really sad for you. I'm glad you got a phone call today from Ben, and I really hope they do what they say they are going to do. Hang in there, and don't give up Sending lots of positive vibes your way x Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Practically incomplete inspection 1839Nov 12, 2015 11:30 am Good news Archetto!
