Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Our Ben Trager Build - More photos! 1322Sep 10, 2015 12:58 am I've just suffered another set back.. when i had my first PCI we pointed out the bath was flooded so pipes blocked.. that was back on the 12th Aug. They emailed today to say the SS has just noticed the pipe wasn't flushed properly before the bath etc went in.. so now they have to rip out my bath.. which will mean the tiles come up along with the screed and water proofing... so it will all have to be re done... And they told me I'd have handover on the 26th Aug!!!! Such a joke.. Re: Our Ben Trager Build - More photos! 1323Sep 10, 2015 1:26 am Oh no! What a shame! That sounds like an expensive exercise for everyone, better they noticed it now I guess but still doesn't help you much! Now the bed as you know is a dark grey linen look Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ style: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Our sheets will be dark grey Do I go A - Blue, our sheets are basically the same colour so the pillow cases would be a mix of the same dark grey and blue, my throw rug is a charcoal grey too Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Or B - do I go the white, with the blue pillows like the photo and dark grey pillows/sheets, grey throw rug Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ if I go the white, I was thinking these bedside tables until I find something I absolutely love Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Or if I went the blue then the same bedside but in white, I was going to darken the legs to match our bamboo flooring better and change the handles The blue is the same colour I have running throughout the house already, so it ties in well, but I don't want to over do it at the same time so was thinking the white with hints of colour, but at the same time I love the blue with the grey! Thoughts??? This is very important business! Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Shopping help! 1327Sep 10, 2015 7:41 pm OMG! I have been eyeing off that quilt cover! I love that colour! Personally I would go with the white bedsides because then you can have any colour sheets and quilt cover combinations and it will match. If you went the blue bedsides, you can only match the sheets/quilt cover to the blue. Does that make sense? Our Ben Trager Build - Shopping help! 1328Sep 10, 2015 7:47 pm Ohhhh the white is gorgeous!! Yeah not a fan of the blue bedsides. They would be better in white if available? First Build, Commodore Homes, Honeywood, Wandi. viewtopic.php?t=77170 Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Shopping help! 1329Sep 10, 2015 7:57 pm I'm another one for the white bedsides. I love white bed linen, you can't beat it for that fresh feeling. You can chop and change your accent colour at anytime then. Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Shopping help! 1330Sep 10, 2015 8:02 pm That's what I was thinking with the white cover, and yeah white bedside they just don't have a photo of it in the white, it's only temporary until I find ones I really like. Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Shopping help! 1332Sep 10, 2015 8:02 pm Are they the Kmart ones? I really liked them too. Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Shopping help! 1333Sep 10, 2015 9:03 pm Haha tempting! These are target but kmart do them too, apparently target ones are more stable Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Shopping help! 1334Sep 10, 2015 9:36 pm White cover for sure...and I would keep the besides white cause if you get sick of the blue you can change pillow cases and soft furnishings easily Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Shopping help! 1335Sep 10, 2015 9:44 pm Very true, white it is for cover and bedsides, thanks all! Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Shopping help! 1336Sep 10, 2015 10:29 pm I agree with the others. I take linen very seriously!! Yes, for white doona cover (it looks great with a couple of blue pillow cases thrown in), no to blue bedsides. I definitely wouldn't switch to a white bed head, it would only take one stain to ruin. Stick with the charcoal bed head - that material looks divine. http://www.housebythewater.wordpress.com From blank block to new home in Mandurah, Western Australia. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65564 Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Shopping help! 1337Sep 10, 2015 11:39 pm Another vote for the white bedsides, give you more options and can be used later in different places when you upgrade... Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Shopping help! 1339Sep 11, 2015 5:25 am MrsMaccaPacca Get the blue AND the white cover I'm with MrsMaccaPacca I'll dare to be different - you will probably not have 1 set of quilt covers for very long. It is something relatively inexpensive, and I prefer to have at least 2. 1 in the wash and one on the bed So if you love the blue go for it, but have the bedsides in white so you can easily swap around - you could have a different duvet colour as often as you wash them hehe. White is lovely too and especially good in summer - it just 'feels' cool and fresh I usually buy black sheets and some pillow covers, and then I can play around with the rest. Everything goes with it - the same as charcoal. Re: Our Ben Trager Build - Shopping help! 1340Sep 11, 2015 12:45 pm I spent nearly $400 yesterday at Adairs so I think i'll have to wait a little while to get a second cover! I'll have to pay their clearance outlet a visit and hope they have something nice there heavily discounted But yes I did get the white one, with the blue pillow covers, as well as a new throw and some cushions which will make an appearance when our lounge is set up Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 "Losers" "humanity" "off time" "your" "top notch" "love symbol" Sounds like ponzo is done using other people's toilets 37 14039 Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 8 2220 |
