Don't worry too much about the electricals, the plaster patch sorts it all out. They have done such a lot in a short space of time and not long now until PCI! Re: Our Ben Trager Build - PCI 11/11! 1683Oct 26, 2015 10:27 pm Looking almost move-in-able! Great to see all the plumbing in. http://www.housebythewater.wordpress.com From blank block to new home in Mandurah, Western Australia. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65564 Re: Our Ben Trager Build - PCI 11/11! 1684Oct 26, 2015 10:36 pm Wow, lots of progress at yours Archetto, that's exciting. Congrats on getting a PCI date, even more exciting! Our building journey viewtopic.php?f=31&t=77582 Re: Our Ben Trager Build - PCI 11/11! 1685Oct 26, 2015 10:56 pm How exciting that your place is almost done! I had handover on Fri.. I've spent the weekend painting.. I literally had to fight for my keys on Friday.. there is still 16 outstanding issues.. the place was a pig sty.. toilets were not only used but there was urine on the rim of the bowl and poop down the back of it.. yeah thanks BTH for my beautiful home... not My dad was at my house all day today, still no BTH tradies to finish off the list of jobs.. my polished concrete floors have started though, so that is exciting! I will eventually put a thread together of my own, once the saga ends.. I had a new area manager do my handover, when i was losing my sh*t at him because he told me I wasn't getting my keys.. i said I'd never recommend BTH to anyone, it's been an absolute sh*t fight the whole way and I'm sick of substandard workmanship.. he said he'd been hired to try and bring up the standard of work and push the SS's to get stuff done.. Since being in I've noticed crooked light points, toilet seats on crooked, one of the toilet role holders just falls out when touched, a hand print in the paint on the door frame.. chips in door frames but behind the doors.. doors hung uneven in the ensuite (thankfully that was noted at handover) my bath that was ripped out, the tiling has been finished so poorly.. Oh well.. I have my keys and slowly with each brush stroke it becomes more mine! Re: Our Ben Trager Build - PCI 11/11! 1686Oct 26, 2015 11:00 pm I'm going to go full CSI at PCI (that rhymes lol) and your post just reinforces that! That really sucks it wasn't a nice experience at hand over but at least your in control now! It is all happening at ours at the moment but what a shame it took 12 months for them to finally make an effort to get us to the finish line. Re: Our Ben Trager Build - PCI 11/11! 1690Oct 27, 2015 10:27 am WOW archetto you are powering to the finish line, I'm sure they will fix the gpo's some tradies really don't give 2 hoots. I'm also have a dgpo on my island bench it just seems makes sense. Re: Our Ben Trager Build - PCI 11/11! 1692Oct 27, 2015 11:12 am Thanks all It is moving quick, a little too quick now! Oh well.. I have my keys and slowly with each brush stroke it becomes more mine! Hi Maiden Who is doing your polished concrete? Can you post a photo once its done? ( Sorry Archetto to highjack your post ) Re: Our Ben Trager Build - PCI 11/11! 1696Oct 27, 2015 10:08 pm Honeywell I had to patch a few walls and do lots of sanding but the ground floor was just white set finish.. so wasn't expecting much.. I even found issues with the painting upstairs which is meant to be a proper finish and the guy try to tell me it was just a rough finish as per the Addenda.. almost lost it there and then. MrsMaccaPacca I'm using a company called Perth Polished Concrete, Steve the guy who owns it did my friends floor and I loved it.. will definitely post photos when it's all done Still no trades at my place to fix the outstanding issues or a response from my CLO about when they will get done.. Re: Our Ben Trager Build - PCI 11/11! 1697Oct 28, 2015 9:39 am Wow Archetto. I dropped off your thread for some reason and you're nearly done. Great progress but shame on the quality and care of some of the trades. It will all be fixed I'm sure but again this is completely avoidable. They wouldn't make a mess and do such a lousy job if it were their home. So close now. Re: Our Ben Trager Build - PCI 11/11! 1698Oct 28, 2015 12:10 pm Thanks Dongster - hopefully you guys won't be too far behind me! Only 14 more sleeps to PCI eek I need to do some more packing! This all makes a lot of sense. I guess when you talk to a builder who butters up everything to look very polished, you get to start believing… 7 17628 |
