Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Our Ben Trager Build - PCI 11/11! 1761Nov 09, 2015 12:25 pm Oh archetto I really hope they don't let you down. How disgraceful for such a big name brand company who I always considered to be one of the more luxury/high spec builders in WA. I really hope they pull it together for you and get it done on time! First Build, Commodore Homes, Honeywood, Wandi. viewtopic.php?t=77170 Re: Our Ben Trager Build - PCI 11/11! 1762Nov 09, 2015 12:35 pm Aww no, sorry to hear Archetto! Fingers crossed they have a productive week for you Did you get to choose your fencing colour? It looks like the other house has cream? Is yours Woodland Grey? If so, ours is the same Blog: https://houseamour.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/houseamour/ Our build thread with Ben Trager Homes: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=77796 Re: Our Ben Trager Build - PCI 11/11! 1763Nov 09, 2015 1:00 pm We aren't really in an estate, well there aren't any estate guidelines anyway, so I think (hope lol) anything goes, the developer put cream in tho, it's called Slate from Stratco so we could keep the same profile as the cream fence Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Our Ben Trager Build - PCI 11/11! 1764Nov 09, 2015 1:00 pm Yeah I prefer a darker fence. It will tie in nicely with your render too Blog: https://houseamour.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/houseamour/ Our build thread with Ben Trager Homes: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=77796 Re: Our Ben Trager Build - PCI 11/11! 1765Nov 09, 2015 1:09 pm Cream definitely didn't suit and as we have about 16m of fence running along the front we went something similar to the façade colours Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Our Ben Trager Build - PCI 11/11! 1766Nov 09, 2015 1:58 pm archetto Yeah....not good.... All that was done last week was the incorrect paving, a site clean, our garage door was installed and all of our roof flashings have been replaced, no idea why they touched them at all because now they have done a shocking job of it, bent etc, not to mention they were only half installed, some had fallen off the roof and are now bent, but too bad if we had a storm like predicted hey? Nothing like a few sheets of metal flying around the neighbourhood and soaked ceilings. The only positive of it all is they have replaced our box gutter at the back so hopefully that has resolved the original leak. Anyway....to complete in 2-3 days: Complete internal painting as well as front door and hang all doors with handles Finish electrical Finish tiling (ensuite still needs grouting, 7 weeks later) Install balcony balustrading Shower screens Bathroom mirrors Finishing touches (towel rails etc) Repair ceiling in theatre and garage Flyscreens Patch walls House clean The list has decreased but I can't see it all happening, I think the builders idea of 'practically complete' will be rather different to ours We started to install our fence on the weekend, so at least one of us are organised Garage door http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b96/tarzncobalt/A031237C-C5FE-41F7-9842-947A65461EEF_zpsnjg4wpg3.jpg http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b96/tarzncobalt/12F3DAB5-F58B-4EB4-BFA8-18B5008E5AFB_zps0db4on2m.jpg its a dark grey slate colour, looks good Oh Archetto - that sucks. It really is 1 step forward and 6 back. Why on earth would they do that to the roof?! Fingers, toes and everything else crossed they pull their finger out in the next 2 days. N x Re: Our Ben Trager Build - PCI 11/11! 1767Nov 09, 2015 6:37 pm That is just unbelievable, archetto I really hope they read this thread and see how much support you have and how patient you've been. They should really do better than this Your fence is going to look lovely in grey, our estate's is beige too and I am not a huge fan! Did you actually DIY it?? If so - mucho respecto!! Re: Our Ben Trager Build - PCI 11/11! 1768Nov 09, 2015 6:53 pm MalSannie That is just unbelievable, archetto I really hope they read this thread and see how much support you have and how patient you've been. Thanks Mal - I know they do read these forums, but don't seem to do anything about it? Oh well...I'm sure Ben will enjoy reading our review on Product Review when the time comes, then maybe he will wish he had of done more to mend the relationship with his clients. It will be interesting to see what has been done on Wednesday. Yeah we did DIY the fence we had a friend help us out who is a fencing contractor and is doing it as a love job, but we will of course buy him something to say thank you! I 'site supervised' and got rather burnt.. Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Our Ben Trager Build - PCI 11/11! 1769Nov 09, 2015 6:59 pm Well, what is also interesting is a friend of mine on facebook asked about Ben Trager homes, and I suggested she come on the homeone forums, and to specifically follow your build. She said that she already was! I understand all builders can have delays etc, but people talk, and if they aren't happy, people usually remember the bad stories, not the good stories. But maybe these builders just have too much money to care?? Re: Our Ben Trager Build - PCI 11/11! 1770Nov 09, 2015 8:15 pm That's the bit I don't understand, they concentrate on building their display homes but their clients are their best advertising? Who doesn't google a company they are going to spend thousands with? and as soon as they do they will find the reviews... Hi maccapaccas friend Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Our Ben Trager Build - PCI 11/11! 1771Nov 09, 2015 8:43 pm Sorry to hear arch:( but not impossible! Screens mirrors rails are all such quick day jobs and uve also got 10 days after pci for them to smash it out I know that's probably not what u want to hear right now but I have everything crossed for you! Xx Kryssti Ben trager build 2015/2016 Re: Our Ben Trager Build - PCI 11/11! 1772Nov 09, 2015 9:14 pm You've been more than patient. Not like my thread, whinging haha. Hope they can pull it off archetto and there's not to much to fix after PCI and might not need the 10 days. You're already super organised with after handover trades. You'll be in and settled in no time. Yes, it is a pity they can't deliver what they promise in the time frame. Especially when they can do it for the display homes. There won't be a very favourable review from me either. Only another BTH client would understand just how frustrating everything has been. Hang on in there Re: Our Ben Trager Build - PCI 11/11! 1773Nov 09, 2015 9:21 pm Fingers crossed for you archetto! They have to get those items listed fixed in time!! I'm not sure how they can do it but they'd better! Not many more sleeps will PCI! You have been very patient....you are almost there!
