I like your block, that bit of extra height makes all the difference. Hope you enjoy your slab party tomorrow. Re: Our Ben Trager build - SLABBED! 149Oct 18, 2014 10:16 pm Thanks AD! I did get sent a photo today but I can't wait to see it myself, stay tuned for photos tomorrow Are you on the estuary side or the ocean side? I would be happy either side though. Re: Our Ben Trager build - SLABBED! 151Oct 19, 2014 11:03 pm Photos!! Shame it was raining today but good for the slab I think? Photos added 153Oct 19, 2014 11:29 pm The slab looks great!!! And the rain is perfect for it. I thought that bit of grass was another block, it's massive, you'll have enough room for a pool, granny flat, shed, allotment and a garden - ha! Congrats, you must be feeling chuffed! Re: Our Ben Trager build - SLABBED! Photos added 154Oct 19, 2014 11:38 pm Our main priority was a big backyard, as we've both grown up on large blocks and wanted the same, i'm sure we will regret it when it comes to maintaining it but at the moment it's exciting! There will be a shed in the far corner and a drive way down to it but the rest I have no idea about yet, there is 15m from the house to the fence. We ended up with 3.5m on our dead side of the house so I want to use that for some fruit trees and vege garden Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Our Ben Trager build - SLABBED! Photos added 155Oct 20, 2014 5:56 am A lovely piece of concrete! You have a huge yard. That's great. In earlier photos, I actually thought that your yard may have been a separate property. We built two story instead of one for the same reason. I love a bit of real grass! http://www.housebythewater.wordpress.com From blank block to new home in Mandurah, Western Australia. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=65564 Re: Our Ben Trager build - SLABBED! Photos added 156Oct 20, 2014 11:51 am Awesome! Loving the fact that your backyard is likely still bigger than my entire block! Haha First Build, Commodore Homes, Alkimos Beach. Photos added 157Oct 20, 2014 12:00 pm Hehe - During pre-start the lady said I have to stop you there, what is this land here is that a vacant block? We pretty much built on exactly the middle line of our block so on paper it does look like another block! Same here, ur backyard is probably the size of my block, probably bigger! Enjoy! Photos added 160Oct 23, 2014 11:27 am My partner came home last night so we were straight to the slab, I thought there would be nothing different for me to see but we now have a water meter and the services have been put in We will have drinkies on it on the weekend to celebrate Our meter already says 4616...that seems like a lot of water used already?
