Looking good Archetto, my plasterboard tradie started today, thanks for the heads up on carpet call, we going to start arranging floor tiles carpets & blinds, got my exposed aggregate lined up for the driveway

We didn't use the vouchers I threw them away as I didn't think we would use those items they were for but still applies anyway. We saved $1800 on our bamboo so it's a worthwhile discount will deff be using them for carpet, you also get 20% off any rug too

Gutters and facia painted they did a really good job and looks awesome very happy

Scaffs down yay roof will start when our chippys have time probably after Easter

We bought our bamboo floors today and have now decided to timber the top floor as well so everything is being done in bamboo now except minor bedrooms and theatre

Where did you get your bamboo from?

Elevation looks so good, can't wait to see the whole lot rendered! Have you got some outdoor lights going on to compliment it? It will look amazing lit up at night!

Also, not sure if you posted a sample of your flooring earlier in the topic or not, but either way post it up again! Bamboo flooring looks incredible!

Yep we have 3 lights across the front, 1 at each end and 1 in the middle pretty much, probably look like an odd layout during the day but make sense at night!

Here is a pic BS12 and Justin will understand, my partner in our 'viewing chair' haha admiring our house, the bench was most likely put there to look at the ocean from the park but we kinda stole that to ourselves so now everyone just has to admire our house

Hi Archetto

We're looking at getting bamboo for our steps as well but haven't worked out what the cost will be. What is the approximate cost for nosing, risers and treads?

We're also getting a fright as to how much it's going to cost to paint and carpet the rest of the place :/

Hi Aaron, i'm not sure yet, we have to have the nosing custom made, as we are laying them ourselves they weren't sure on a cost and have told us to just go through the company who do it directly however for carpet call to supply and install the nosing was $245 or so each :/ we have 16 steps. We had the steps quoted through Harvey Norman also and that was $1400 or so. Hoping by getting made ourselves with no middle man it will be cheaper!

Our bamboo came in at $8500 not inc the stair nosing that's for 78 packs, we still need to price up the carpet.

We are painting ourselves so hoping to do that for $1000-$2000 not sure how much paint costs yet.

I budgeted $15,000 for the flooring total so hopefully with the carpet we come in under with some coin to spare.

Thanks for that. That is more than what I was expecting (but then again, everything is more than I'm expecting!). We have 600 x 600 tiles through our living area (110sqm) at about $70/sqm laid, plus about 140sqm of carpet at about $50sqm laid which I guess is close to your $15k budget as well. Then add painting, landscaping, window treatments etc. It never ends :::

Also have PCI tomorrow so moving into our house not too far away.
