Browse Forums Building A New House 1 May 03, 2014 11:05 am Hey everyone,
My wife and I put our holding deposit on a home & land package in January 2014 and have recently just paid our deposits on both contracts. I was just hoping to get a topic going where other people in stage 42 Can keep each other up to date and just how the overall experience has been. Also we were told that our land would be registered in September 2014 but when I Drove past last week I noticed that there was next to no progress happening, has anyone Had an updated timeframe? Cheers. Re: Stage 42 Ridgeview spring farm 2May 04, 2014 5:44 pm Sorry to double post but if anyone in the spring farm community knows of any other Places where I can post that would be really helpful as I'm having trouble Finding fellow stage 42ers Thankyou Re: Stage 42 Ridgeview spring farm 3May 04, 2014 6:32 pm My partner and I have also purchased a block in stage 42. Speaking with Colin, he expects machinery to move in on that side of the lake in the next week or 2. Still too far out to know exactly when it will be registered, but prob will be around March 2015 providing there are no major issues. Re: Stage 42 Ridgeview spring farm 4May 04, 2014 8:23 pm Great to hear back from someone! Who are you guys building with? And wow march 2015! Early on I was thinking around that time was worst case Scenario but it is slowly seeming more realistic! Lol. But it will be good to see Some work happening on our side of the lake. Re: Stage 42 Ridgeview spring farm 8May 17, 2014 9:10 pm I know!!! We're finally going to see some progress! I've driven by a couple of times in the last 2 weeks and I've only ever Seen that one red excavator there. Would be good to see some more machines Working but it's good they are on our side of the lake nevertheless! Re: Stage 42 Ridgeview spring farm 9Jun 10, 2014 11:45 pm Thanks for letting me know about this! Great idea, we can all keep each other in the loop. Yeah we were also told September, and in honest I doubt we will see anything of registration til January. They have even said as much to me that if it's dec they will hold over til new year. I'm happy for jan/February any later and we will be getting mighty itchy lol... We have plans to build with beechwood at the moment. The verdehlo 4. Perfect for our size family. Not too big not too small. Re: Stage 42 Ridgeview spring farm 10Jun 11, 2014 7:20 am Oh well that's good news then I guess. I heard someone else mention march but if it's January I'll still be happy. I'm very doubtful of September haha. Well if I hear anything else I will definitely post it here Re: Stage 42 Ridgeview spring farm 11Jun 13, 2014 8:42 am Yeah I saw last week they have really gotten onto clearing the land but there is still one giant hill they still haven't gotten round to. Check on a current affairs website to see if it was on this week cause I knew it was going to be on but missed it. Finally getting media attention.. Re: Stage 42 Ridgeview spring farm 14Jun 18, 2014 7:52 pm The hill was still there when we looked on Saturday... But we noticed they had done more levelling out Re: Stage 42 Ridgeview spring farm 16Jul 02, 2014 6:36 pm Hello, fellow Stage 42er here! We were told the land will be registered in December, but nobody ever mentioned the delay I read about here! Thank goodness I read up on everything! I don't think December is realistic, Colin was honest and said if it looked like December then he would hold off til January to save us paying a bank payment over December when no one will be working to do anything anyway. He still said there will be delays and I honestly still believe a more realistic date will be feb march. However that gated up land stage 31 was still gated last weekend. I thought that was all over with so I don't understand what's happened now... Re: Stage 42 Ridgeview spring farm 19Jul 02, 2014 6:54 pm Yes, I agree, we thought December was unrealistic but this is all new to us. We had our final meeting with the draftsman last week and he said a move-in date of October/November was what he is looking at. Masterton Symphony MBTF Deposit Paid 7/7/14 So it looks like we finally have some movement on site! Definitely later than expected, but I'll take any progress at this point.
