Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Apr 28, 2014 11:28 am Im really liking the new colorbond "Basalt", which is a nice neutral grey and am thinking of having colorbond dune as a main render. What do you think of this combination? Also, would having basalt or solver "charcoal" as a contrasting render for the portico be ok? My builder only uses solver paints... Then the other problem is the garage door...should I have a woodgrain finish or a colorbond...and in what colour? This is really getting to me, so any help would be greatly appreciated! Doons Re: Colorbond Basalt Roof with Dune Render... 2Apr 28, 2014 1:02 pm Basalt and dune would go great together. A contrasting portico is a good idea to stop it looking washed out. Personally I would do the garage door the same colour as the portico so it all ties together. I reckon Dune would looke good with Basalt roof, especially if you have some contrast elsewhere in the façade. All the colours we chose are from a show home so we know they look great together. Colorbond has a great visualizer on their website as well. In my opinion you dont need to replace or paint the roof other than treat surface rust… 1 10237 You should pressure clean your roof first and make sure the paint you buy also is anti mould. 4 18582 Hi all, Our boundary perimeter fences need replacing (3 sides). From everyone's experience, what would you install? Timber lapped and capped OR colorbond? Thank you. 0 2894 |
