Wow it's amazing how fast the allocated funds go. Any plans on starting the retaining? Re: 2 Kids + Triplets = Need a bigger house! - 2 weeks to go 165Jul 22, 2015 8:12 am It looks great. I love the colour you've picked (is it coloured or just the picture?) Re: 2 Kids + Triplets = Need a bigger house! - Driveway done 170Aug 22, 2015 9:23 pm Hi Matt, I think that i read in one of the landscaping posts that you were going to do concrete sleepers for your retaining wall. Are you still going to and have you started yet? cheers Lou Re: 2 Kids + Triplets = Need a bigger house! - Driveway done 171Aug 22, 2015 9:35 pm Yep, still doing the concrete sleepers. We got them from www.concretesleeperscanberra.com.au Here's where we've got to: http://i569.photobucket.com/albums/ss136/matthewmedlin/2015-08/843F23D6-A260-44AD-8ED2-A1A6B77C7B41_zpsc1dtv45e.jpg I got all the holes bored and the posts concreted in by the guy that did the driveway to save a bit of time. Will put the sleepers in the weekend after next (had to wait for them to make more). I'm going to do the whole back wall myself after the front/side is done. Your house is beautiful and it looks massive. Is it just 33 squares? Re: 2 Kids + Triplets = Need a bigger house! - Driveway done 173Sep 03, 2015 12:56 pm It's probably closer to 50 squares now. Re: 2 Kids + Triplets = Need a bigger house! - Driveway done 175Sep 04, 2015 9:02 pm Good thing half of it is tiles one of the many "upgrades" was a ducted vacuum system. My wife didn't want it but I knew it would come in handy. She was telling me how awesome it was the other day... good thing i persisted. Haha! viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75739&p=1299716#p1299716 Re: 2 Kids + Triplets = Need a bigger house! - Driveway done 177Sep 04, 2015 10:12 pm I wouldn't go that far 2 Kids + Triplets = Need a bigger house! - Driveway done 179Sep 08, 2015 9:02 pm Tribe7 How are you retaining walls coming along now Matt? Not great unfortunately My main helper piked it (something about needing to spend at least 1 day in 14 with his wife or something...) and the sleepers are too heavy to lift by myself (I tried). So I spent Saturday building more IKEA bookshelves for the upstairs retreat and my mums room and a monster IKEA DVD rack (10 x Gnedby's) for the HT. Sunday I spent emptying our container of the last of our stuff (I saved the bloody big piano till last ). Container got picked up today, only 25 mths after it was delivered (I think my cousin is glad to see it gone from his front yard). Will try again for this weekend. Have to suck it and see though. I had a cortisone injection in my wrist today for an old injury. Meant to be taking it easy.... Re: 2 Kids + Triplets = Need a bigger house! - Driveway done 180Sep 27, 2015 6:37 pm Finally made some progress on the retaining wall this weekend. Got most of it done yesterday when I had a helper. Slower going today by myself (was knackered from yesterday too). I discovered the consequences of the concreter doing it his way instead of my way.... It's taking much longer than it should have. http://i569.photobucket.com/albums/ss136/matthewmedlin/2015-09/0D820FC9-BC90-4C92-B2B6-14DB71C54293_zps4noy4wzn.jpg Still a long way to go but it's a start. Bathroom renovation will likely include a back-to-corner bath and we’re considering a freestanding tap with hand-held shower such as the picture included. The patio faces west and is always in sun even though it has a shade directly… 0 3568 I’m not a structural engineer but I’m free. you still need an engineer for the plans. I only have part of your plans, but you seem to have a 850mm drop from the side… 3 9944 |
