Henley say they won't cut or paint the skirting boards if we choose to do flooring post handover. So we can either ask Henley to cut, paint and install skirting boards first or they simply do nothing about the skirting boards. How have you done it? I'm just concerned if skirting boards are installed first and then the floorboards, the skirting boards may look tiny after flooring (and quad) is installed.. How have Henley done it in their display homes? Re: Henley Homes 2176Jan 29, 2016 10:46 am nestaxu May I please ask you guys for advice about doing flooring post handover? How have Henley done it in their display homes? Display homes that i saw all of them had done after skirting been installed. so quads been installed. hence im asking them to install the skirtings and do the boards post hand over and can get a better quality for the same price of henley. also I think when u have quads you can remove boards easily to replace any water damaged boards in future. Fingers crossed thats not gonna happen. cheers Re: Henley Homes 2177Jan 29, 2016 10:52 am As Clueless said - they quad their boards. If you want a nice seemless look, the only option is do the skirting boards yourself, or have someone do it after handover. If you're lucky and get a good SS, you could always ask them (not your admin, they'll just tell you it's not an option) to just "tack" the skirting boards on for easy removal. That way they're already cut. Re: Henley Homes 2178Jan 29, 2016 10:53 am Yes we are also doing flooring after and have the skirts already installed. I don't mind the quad. The skirts are pretty high so won't be too short after the floor goes in and it will match the carpeted areas then as after underlay and carpet thickness they will cover a bit of the skirt too. Thanks all of you for your helpful inputs And good point with "match the carpeted areas"...
