Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Henley Homes 210Jul 27, 2014 10:44 am Funny As Ari I wish grass did count, it would make it a lot easier I am of the opinion once house is built and fences are erected, how are they going to know if I have done it or not. Sorry guys I know its off the subject Re: Henley Homes 211Jul 27, 2014 4:45 pm Henley told us that to get DA we had to have our landscaping plan completed to the front yard I called BS as how can you have you front garden design done when you haven't seem what your house looks like completed. I rang the developer and they agreed and said it doesn't have to happen until up to 6 months after completion, sent the email to Henley and they were adamant that it had to be done but conceded as I had it in writing from the developer to the contrary. My landscaping has to be done to the rear (nothing in Sect 32 about front) but it doesn't have a time frame on it, I can always get it done while Henley is building as the Landscapers are going to be approx 30 mtrs away from the builders Probably be easier that way then it's done prior to side fence being erected Re: Henley Homes 213Jul 27, 2014 8:01 pm mking78 Lucky you had it in writing, it's always best to get decisions in writing so then if need be you have it to refer back to. Plants get stolen more often than anything else Re: Henley Homes 214Jul 28, 2014 8:59 am We opted for a 12 months maintenance check instead of the standard 3 months. Well our tender presenter pretty much told us we would be foolish if we didn't, more so than us choosing this, which is fine as it does make sense I guess. Is this what others did? Any cons in having the 12 instead of the 3? Re: Henley Homes 215Jul 28, 2014 9:03 am Emz We opted for a 12 months maintenance check instead of the standard 3 months. Any cons in having the 12 instead of the 3? we're having the 12months which i reckon is pretty standard. But in saying that if it's something major then yes contact them urgently! We have a leak after the plumbers came to install our appliances so yep not waiting 12months for that! Second Build, this time with Carlisle 2016, can't wait! We are new to the building thing and haven't got much of an idea, basically my land has a 13m frontage and id like to build at the back in the future (so i think Ava Q1 may suit, unless we build 2 story) so they say from $163,000* for AVA Q1 Series - obviously i need to pay for demolition costs (of the current house) etc... but what other costs do i need to think about? does Henley take care of the permits, dealings with council etc? is that included in the standard price? thanks for your assistance. Riccardo The base price is just for the house (with the standard inclusions). Everything else is extra.
