Hooray! 95% sure that I finalised our landscape plan today too, which is really exciting. I'm thinking I'll start a landscape thread for it. I'll post a link once I start it. We had a lot of dirt moved last week. The mass dirt pile the dreadful concreter (that we hired privately, not related to Sekisui) left behind when they did the footings for the retaining walls has been moved to the back of the block (like the concreter was supposed to do but didn't). It's all slowly taking shape. I'll probably put these pictures in the landscape thread when I start it. Our shutters however - I'll tidy tomorrow and post a pic of them. Love them Re: Newcastle KDR (Sekisui) - Post build works - retaining w 1062Apr 27, 2016 12:30 pm Hooray for the blinds! Would you mind sharing where you got them from? I cant wait to follow your landscape thread _________________________ Building the Noosa 26 with Coral Homes https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=80794 Re: Newcastle KDR (Sekisui) - Post build works - retaining w 1064May 03, 2016 11:26 pm EPaul888 Hooray for the blinds! Would you mind sharing where you got them from? The shutters and roller blinds are from Hunter Valley Blinds. They're really nice but they took ages to get. We were told 8 weeks but ended up being double. Also I'm not sure they cover Sydney? I haven't cleaned properly so here are some photos that try to cut out the mess A combination of basswood shutters, illusion roller blinds and block out roller blinds. All roller blinds are remote operated by a remote control. It's the BEST. They're battery operated and there's a charger we just plug into each blind every six or so months. If you don't mind me asking what was the pricing like through hunter valley blinds. oh wow thank you so much! That's really lovely to hear. Pricing - all up it was $13.9k installed. That was for Shutters to the following rooms: Master bed (3 windows), ensuite, study, Bed 2, Bed 3, Rumpus, Lounge (5 windows). Block out blinds to: two sliding doors (2 blinds each door). Illusion blinds to: 2 back windows. We only got another price from "half price shutters" who said they couldn't do the lot for under $20k. We didn't go elsewhere because my husband wanted the type of shutter without the little bar that moves the louvres. This type you move the louvres themselves to open/close them. We also bought some other furniture. But it's confirmed - i freaking LOVE jack hammering! Talk about fun exercise. I should join the demolition business. We removed a massive pile of concrete the last concreter kindly left us out the front, and I tidied up his footing down the side here: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ We've also been working on some landscaping & stormwater piping. Roped my Dad into helping. Laid a stormwater pipe plus a small 35mm pipe for any future electricity or irrigation should we ever feel the need for it (unlikely): Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The exciting news is our driveway is being poured on SATURDAY!!!!!! Sadly I won't have time to detail or keep it up to date, so I'll just keep posting here. It's a shame because there aren't enough landscaping threads on here that follow an entire yard.
