Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Can anyone recommend NEW GENERATION HOMES 2Apr 07, 2014 1:12 pm Looks like you have shortlisted the same two builders that I did. I finally went with New Generation Homes though I was impressed with the sales rep at Celebrations. I went with New Generation primarily because I saw the work they had done in building a friend's home. I liked the quality of their work and based on the reviews I read about Celebrations I was more comfortable with what I had seen at New Gen. Finally they came back with a design that suited my needs and was within budget with all costs included. It has stayed that way and the only variations that I have had were minor to comply with codes and regulations which was explained to me when I went to sign the contract. So far the build process has been without hitches. The pre start was smooth and the work that has just commenced is on track though it is slightly behind schedule. I have had no cause to complain yet and I trust it will continue to be that way with New Generation. They are currently running a promo with a 22 week guaranteed completion time for the build from site start. Worth looking in to. With both Celebrations and New Generation you are looking at well established builders. So go with who comes up with the best design that suits your needs and comes within your budgets. Re: Can anyone recommend NEW GENERATION HOMES 3Apr 07, 2014 1:16 pm Also remember that it finally comes down to how much clarity you have on what you want. we were fairly clear about what we wanted when we talked to both builders. That allowed for an apple to apple comparison and helped clarify costs to a large degree. Before you finalize, research well and try and finalize the things you need. Get it included in the estimates and you will have a fairly good idea of where costs stand and what gets included and what does not Hi there! Putting the feelers out there for those who have (or almost) built with Arli homes! Interested in your experiences who've built from their stock home designs… 0 23467 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 13746 Wish you all the best. Once you signed the contract, they will find millions excuses to charge you. And have seen their sites unfinished for a long time. 4 24807 |
