Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Oct 16, 2014 7:38 pm Hi all, Also posted this in the landscaping forum, but thought it might be more applicable to this forum as well. My builder has quoted $6450 to prep yard and lay turf as part of the building process. Quite a bit of cash when I would rather spend the money on the house itself. I am thinking of just spreading some grass seed and watering it (or wait until wet season when we get lots of rain in the tropics). I have a friend who could even provide me with some runners. Is it worth DYI turfing/grassing after handover to keep costs down a bit??
