The display is different from nsw , 5th bedroom converted to the WIR is a solution for us which we appreciate . Unfortunately this option is not shown in nsw. To see the display in Melbourne was well worth the trip. The sizes of the rooms were larger. House is more spacious with the outdoor and dining the house comes to 44sq on plantation facade due to portico and balcony. It has the designer inclusions etc.. However the glendale is definitely a good option as well which makes it hard. Although considering the 5th bedroom and it's uses as a WIR we're now looking more seriously into the Phoenix. The forums help as well with brainstorming Re: Metricon Phoenix 38 build in Adelaide thread 53Apr 22, 2014 4:11 pm We have a date for the preliminary estimate of 3 June. The engineers are very busy and Easter has added some time, which means nine weeks from date of $1,500 deposit to tender presentation. Easter meant that we lost a week, but it still eight weeks. The contour survey and soil tests were done within the first week, so that's seven weeks for engineering and estimating. Our timeline... 2012 (November) Deposit paid to Metricon 2013 (February) Preliminary contract signed 2013 (March) Studio M 2013 (May 17) Sign final M contract 2013 (October) Build start Re: Metricon Phoenix 38 build in Adelaide thread 56Apr 23, 2014 1:20 pm Thanks E and M. I guess we wouldn't have minded if we were told early June from the beginning but we were given an early May tender at first. I have updated our blog with some photos. Enjoy!! http://ourphoenix38.blogspot.com.au BLOG: http://www.ourphoenix38.blogspot.com.au H1 THREAD: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70454 Re: Metricon Phoenix 38 build in Adelaide thread 58Apr 23, 2014 8:16 pm We also visited the Souther Star Windows showroom today. We are having silver windows and stacker doors. The M Consultant told us that you can only have black door hardware (handles). That was incorrect, Southern Star said today that for $100 you can have the handle powder coated the same colour as the frame. Excellent!!
