I would have thought this was obvious but I'm struggling to find out...
We're buying a block from someone who purchased it a few years ago, I want to know the exact location points of each boundary but, aside from the pegs no-one seems to be able to tell me what defines its exact boundaries. As the block was pegged about 6 years ago I can't be sure the pegs have been moved and indeed one is missing anyway.
My conveyencer keeps telling me to engage a surveyor but what does the surveyor measure to?
As an example, a house is already built to one side of the block, how can I tell if they've encroached onto my block?
First of many questions in this process I fear
