We have a secured a demolition company and signed the quote acceptance quote. The quote acceptance form does not have conditions giving the contractor ownership of the building as some companies do. We are considering having a pre-demolition sale by placing an ad on Gumtree.
Has anyone done this? Any tips in terms of format etc?

I have heard of someone doing this and when the demo company turned up, they wouldn't do the job and walked away. I am not sure of the format they took.
You would probably need to be able to dismantle whatever it is you are selling yourself, from an insurance perspective, if you allowed someone to do this and they got injured, you could find yourself in trouble.

Let us know how you go. I was thinking of doing a garage sale/demolition sale. Almost like "pick and pay less" but really just get people to take away parts that they wanted (as long as it was safe)
I've been starting to list some stuff on my site (oddswop) and will also be listing it on gumtree once I have a demolition date so I know when we are moving out.
