I think your colours look great!! It's such a huge decision! Our build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=69984 If you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain. Re: Dale Alcock Build in Honeywood - External Colours 22Mar 31, 2014 6:23 pm hi Kelsey with the feature render you could always paint over it at an later date if you are unhappy with the colour. that sucks about the bush fire rating! like the other person said it all going to end up as houses I am still unsure of all my colours and choice's that I have made. I am looking forward to reading your thread Re: Dale Alcock Build in Honeywood - External Colours 23Mar 31, 2014 9:49 pm Great plan, love the larder/laundry swap around. We're building a similar plan (the Austin), look forward to seeing yours go up as well! Done it once.. Lived in it a year.. Sold it.. Doing it again! Addicted to Building.. I was so unsure and ended up changing the exterior colours to the same as the display a week or so later. I them changed it all again at pre-start and I am so glad I did as it was the right decision. If it is any help I think your colour choice is great! Everything is the same as ours except roof colour as we went surf most colorbond. Check out my thread if you want to see lundy grey and vitesse together. I will try and get another close up pic for you today. Did you have to pay variation fees to change your colours? When we were costing things in our contract we questioned clay tiles as we were still undecided if we wanted tile or colourbond. When we got to this meeting it was already too late to make the change to colourbond as it was considered structural so they wanted to charge us $300.00. I didn’t want to pay to downgrade back to the standard inclusion. I really love your colour choice, I’m only nervous because we have gone Lundy Grey 200%. Do you think your render colour is more of a brown or a grey? We're building a similar plan (the Austin), look forward to seeing yours go up as well! We actually were seriously considering the Austin. We had our sales consultant sketch some ideas but couldn't get the plan to work for us. I LOVE your huge kitchen. Can't wait to see yours come up. I love your choices! We are also in the process of consultation and even after looking at other builder's design, we still felt like Catalunya is the one for us. But I am a bit concerned with the original kitchen size. I love what you did there! Just wondering though, are you using caesarstone benchtop or laminated benchtop? We wanted to increase the kitchen but doing so we would have to sacrifice the stone benchtop as it would be way too expensive for our budget. My first build journey here https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=71028 Re: Dale Alcock Build in Honeywood - External Colours 28Apr 13, 2014 6:19 pm We have Vitesse as our main render with Lundy Grey at 100% as the feature render and I totally think we could've gone to 150% or 200% to increase the contrast. That said, we're very happy with how our colours have turned out. I think your choices will be great! If you type In images of lundy grey render there will be photos on there and their is a two story house with some purple render as well if you go on that they have used lundy grey and I'm sure it's either 150 % or 200% I hope that helps Re: Dale Alcock Build in Honeywood - External Colours 30Apr 13, 2014 11:39 pm fancy pants We have Vitesse as our main render with Lundy Grey at 100% as the feature render and I totally think we could've gone to 150% or 200% to increase the contrast. Do you think your render colour is more of a brown or a grey? Just realised I hadn't replied to this. We didn't pay for variation to colour as we did the first change within a week, the second time we did it at Prestart. Lundy grey I think is more of a browny grey then grey. We have it at 100% so not sure what 200% would look like - sorry. I would love to see your ideas with the design. I'm still not 100% sure about the kitchen, I'm not sure if there is enough cupboard space. Overall i think once i'm in i'll really love it, its just hard looking at a plan. we are still using caesarstone for our kitchen. from what I can remember it was around $1000.00 per meter of cabinetry with caesarstone. You guys are defiantly making me feel better about my decision. I just really hoping to see lundy grey in real life before pre start. I think its the fact that the word grey is in the title which scares me off!! We are booked in for next Friday May 2nd we seriously need to make some decisions now. We still haven’t received our building contracts but I’m sure that’s not too far away considered we have been waiting since February 5th. Also we received a letter from Satterley to notify us that title were issued April 2nd. It’s all starting to feel so real now. External Colour update: We both a still really undecided about Lundy Grey. We’ve been running around today to a few Bristile display centers to find our cocoa Vienna profile tile. After 3 shops we finally found one in stock. Since then we have been to Solver to get some sample pots of paint. We are now thinking maybe CB Jasper or Caribou as our feature render. We haven’t yet made a decision as it’s too dark outside now to see the colours properly. Fingers crossed we can settle on something!!! I had so much fun that day! Exterior colours are the absolute hardest - I can sympathise with the indecision. Check out the front of my house to give you an idea although our lundy grey is 100% so yours would be darker at 200. Good luck Re: Dale Alcock Build in Honeywood - PRESTART BOOKED IN! 37Apr 24, 2014 7:07 pm Woohoo we just got a call from DA saying our building contract is ready and we have a meeting on Saturday!!
