Honestly AMAZING!!! they will work around you to create something for your budget and are SO good priced! I can't talk highly enough about how fantastic they have been so far! My friend went through them and her curtains are excellent. I went to ABC, vista and Boardwalk for quotes and all were charging me double what Coolico was. We are getting roller blinds throughout (we have a 4x2 with a study and theatre) We were going to get shutters in our theatre but this was $1500 just for the one room!! So I have opted for roller blinds throughout which is costing us $2300 I am planning on putting sheers over the top of the roller blinds in the theatre but yet to get a quote for that room. I was looking at $4500 at ABC for the exact same fabrics I chose! Might have to put that on the possibility list too! I have just paid a deposit on my blinds with Specialty Curtains and Blinds, we went with double rollers in all rooms but in living area just the privacy blind that lets the light in. Went for a white privacy blind and a grey block out.... hopefully it all looks good but it was a hard choice! We're thinking of doing the same. I like what I think they call a ripple fold style. I'm going to try and make them myself to save a few dollars. Will prob wait until we're in though. .. Unfortunately though I'll only have a 250 count sheet in the mean time! Re: Kelsey78’s Home in Honeywood DAH Build-Window Treatments 468Jan 19, 2015 1:57 pm There's a shop in Cannington called Betta Curtains - we've used them in a few houses and they have gorgeous curtains. Best bit is, you can take your house plans in and buy ready mades to fit ... they are well priced compared to many of the places that come out and do them for you. Plus I believe they do blinds also, although we have never used them for blinds. I have a curtain place coming out on Thursday to measure and quote for the curtains I want, but if it comes in too exxie I will be going to Betta Curtains again with my plans. Re: Kelsey78’s Home in Honeywood DAH Build-Window Treatments 469Jan 19, 2015 2:38 pm Thank you guys for all your feedback and suggestions!! I really appreciate everyone’s input. We have actually already paid a deposit with Curtain World. We did this during the finance process in order to secure the loan. So far they have been fantastic and their customer service has been spot on. Their prices seem reasonable compared to other companies we got quotes from. As much as I want shutters throughout I’m not willing to move in without window treatments and continue to save to afford them over the next couple of months. We have decided to go with the white timber blinds on the windows and roller/sheer combo on the sliding door. I hope it turns out okay, who knew window treatments could be so stressful! Also a cabinetry should be installed tomorrow!! I think I may have the record for “Longest wait from lock up to cabinetry!” We were locked out on December 15 and fingers crossed cabinetry happens tomorrow! 37 days of suspenseful days waiting, hoping the colours we picked work is long enough! My build thread https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70655&p=1164017#p1164017 Our House is full of magical things patiently waiting for our Home to be built Re: Kelsey78’s Home in Honeywood DAH Build- Cabinets stolen! 475Jan 20, 2015 9:27 pm So we went to our house today to check for progress and met with the carpenter. He told us that our overhead cabinets, panels for the front of the cabinetry and our ensuite basin had been stolen!! We continued to check around the house and noticed some cement bags for the tiling as well as our feature strip tiles had been taken too! I was such a bittersweet moment as we were so excited to see progress. I will wait until I can get some pictures of the finished kitchen cabinets however I do have a couple of pics from today! Bathroom Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Ensuite minus our stolen basin Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Also today the painters were on site to do the cut in's with the paint colour we selected. I'm not sure about the colour, it was a colour recommended by our prestart consultant. I'm not going to get too stressed over it yet, it's too hard to get a good understanding when you can only see small sections against the yellow undercoat and white set. Re: Kelsey78’s Home in Honeywood DAH Build- Cabinets stolen! 477Jan 20, 2015 9:37 pm I always think that when things like that go missing it's gotta be someone working on the house . Your laminex looks so good and your basins are the right size for them . If that makes sense . What paint colour have you chosen ? I'm sure it will look fine . Once it is all finished Re: Kelsey78’s Home in Honeywood DAH Build- Cabinets stolen! 478Jan 20, 2015 9:40 pm So sorry to hear you had some of your building materials stolen On a more positive note your cabinets look amazing. I love the washed timber look. Cant wait to see it all finished. Re: Kelsey78’s Home in Honeywood DAH Build- Cabinets stolen! 479Jan 20, 2015 9:53 pm How horrible hopefully it doesn't take too long to get the goods remade and back .. Our back retaining wall got graffiti on it when our bricks were at plate height and we had to pay $550 to get it removed. Hopefully the builder is on it and it is replaced quickly. We went past our place tonight and the stove was installed today - we made sure every window and door was locked, just in case. Thank you so much everyone. This all makes a lot of sense.
