Every time I go to see our build in Honeywood I drive around the block to try and figure out which one is yours... Just figured it out today! Your build is looking great! We are pretty much neighbors! I'm on Honeywood ave - the end house next to the round about all the best for PCI and hopefully we will bump into each around the estate sometime Thanks Our Honeywood Build! This forum has been great for meeting neighbors! Look forward to saying Hi sometime archetto I like the rangehood too...because we chose the same one Good luck today! Hahaha!! Its not that I don't like the rangehood, its just not the one I chose! Caraf88 Oh no it's annoying isn't it! I don't understand how they can give unrealistic dates of a PCI! Our supervisor told us 6 weeks ago, PCI in 2 weeks, we knew that it was nowhere near finishing in those 2 weeks and 6 weeks later here we are waiting. I wish they could be more realistic. How could we know anyway, this is our first home! He should know when the trades will be finished. I'm so over getting my hopes up! Super Nes Your driveway looks nice. Was this done through DA or externally? Wouldn't mind knowing who did it and what price if possible Thanks Super Nes, Our driveway and alfresco was done by Dales. It cost us $9,228.00 for both, including crossover. I’m sure I could have had it done for less but the convenience of adding it to the build won me over. I think the worst part is the fact our SS doesn’t let us know PCI is cancelled until we get to site. I don’t know about you guys but I was getting so excited/couldn’t sleep the night before in anticipation for PCI. It was such a letdown to find out PRC was cancelled again. Your home is so stunning Kelsey your selections are just perfect!!! Re: Kelsey78’s Home in Honeywood DAH Build-Flooring & Drivew 649Mar 16, 2015 4:03 pm Omg your floor looks stunning .so shinny . You agg looks good worth the money . Did you go through the builder for it . I think the bath looks neat from what I can see .I dont even think they can do much about it . I guess they could do it a bit less on top of the if anything but I would rather it to be extra sealed . Re: Kelsey78’s Home in Honeywood DAH Build-Flooring & Drivew 650Mar 16, 2015 6:42 pm Kelsey your flooring is stunning! So beautiful and I'm so happy that they finally did what was originally intended to do, it will look fabulous once the skirtings go back in! I think the seal is ok. Ours is a little messy on the corner of our bath too but it's such a simple thing that can be touched up later with a handy bloke and some silicon we didn't even bother mentioning it Building our first home - https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=73568 Re: Kelsey78’s Home in Honeywood DAH Build-Flooring & Drivew 651Mar 16, 2015 6:55 pm If you're not happy with the silicon, get it fixed and touched up, it'll bug you forever otherwise! Although, I'm sure it's an easy fix if you want to fix it yourself. Flooring looks incredible, glad they've fixed it all and will look even more amazing once the skirting goes back on. That driveway looks incred as well, good picks haha. Re: Kelsey78’s Home in Honeywood DAH Build-Flooring & Drivew 653Mar 16, 2015 10:38 pm Looks gorgeous Kelsey! Re: Kelsey78’s Home in Honeywood DAH Build-Flooring & Drivew 654Mar 17, 2015 11:32 am Mention the silicon around the bath, but say you don't want it to affect your handover date as the trade can come while your in. Get it in writing in an email and letter to say they will have the trade out. I don't think they can change he thickness but where it is not neat isn't acceptable Building our first home - viewtopic.php?f=31&t=75306 Re: Kelsey78’s Home in Honeywood DAH Build-Flooring & Drivew 655Mar 17, 2015 7:15 pm I love your flooring! My build thread https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70655&p=1164017#p1164017 Our House is full of magical things patiently waiting for our Home to be built Re: Kelsey78’s Home in Honeywood DAH Build-Flooring & Drivew 659Mar 18, 2015 6:20 pm Kelsey!!!! I feel like I've been gone forever! I can't believe how much has been done and how amazing everything looks!!! The drivway/alfresco agg looks really lovely, I wish we had forked out for this now, as our paving is so chipped and horrible looking already! And your floors...wow! Great choices! So sorry to hear about the let downs with PCI date, how frustrating and unprofessional to not let you its been cancelled until you actually rock up to site. I hope they sort out whatever is holding you up soon so you can get those hot little keys in your hands soon! As for the silicone, I just rushed off to compare mine after looking at your pic. To be honest its not something I picked up on, and even after being in for a while I still hadn't noticed. But on close inspection it isn't perfect and looks similar to yours, but for some reason it doesn't bug me that much (which is weird because everythinggggg bugged me! lol) That being said, if it bugs you DEFINITELY get them to fix it or you will get an eye twitch everytime you go into that room and see it! haha My fingers are crossed for you for PCI asap!!!!! Re: Kelsey78’s Home in Honeywood DAH Build-PCI Done!! 660Mar 19, 2015 9:40 am So third time was a charm and we had PCI yesterday! I didn’t want to say anything just in case it got postponed again… PCI went relatively well. it took us about an hour and a half to go through everything. Fortunately we were able to get in the house over the weekend so we wrote our own PCI list in preparation. That really sped the process up! SS was really good with everything and almost every concern will be rectified. Our list is as pretty much as follows: - Damage to Kitchen kickbacks (3 points in total) - Replace rangehood - Damage to hardiflex in garage, porch and alfresco - Slider onto alfresco frame dented - Drainpipe missing from pillar - fill in mortar around the sides of the house - Replace 2 door handles - Fix the colour of grout around a replaced tile in the ensuite - Cover that hides the screws is missing off rail shower in ensuite - Painting touchups as per dots. If all goes well we hopefully will have handover by the end of next week! We already have cheque ready to go!! I’m so excited… next step keys!!!!!!!!!! Here are some photos from yesterday. Please excuse the PCI chickenpox dots!
