I bought an off the plan property at CS last year with the developer there. The house is expecting to be finished building in June which now it already in lock up stage
I have some confusion about the procedures and timing on the handover and settlement, hope you guys can help me on this.
When I bough the property, the salesman told me that once the house is ready, a certificate of completion will be issued to me to arrange the final settlement. A final inspection of the house will also arrange to make sure we are happy with the product. My question here is that,
1) If I have to get a building consultant to inspect my house, should I get them to inpsect the house before the certificate of completion is issued or before the settlement which mean after the certificate of completion is issued?
2)Beside, when is the final inspection normally would have? is it before the certificate of completiion issued or after?
3)Would the developer allow me to arrange building consultant to inspect the house prior the walkthrough?? I suppose walkthrough mean final inspection
4)What is certificate of completion?
I have written email to the developer asking to the estimate date of completion so that i can arrange for all this matter. He refused to do so and told me to wait until the builder give me the notice for final inspection.
Do you guys have any comment this?
