Sometimes I think maybe I've gone too far, perhaps some " boring" bricks would look great as long as you get the right facade with the right render, windows and doors. I think sometimes where there is too many windows on single story home the brick variation can look a bit odd . They seem the most warm and homely of the brown bricks to me. I think bc of where I am and because I'm going a ranch style home with verandah along the front, I really want the old red brick style house. You really have to choose what you like as well as what suits your area. Also, if your place is something you are hoping to sell on in a few years then maybe going with the most popular brick choice is a good idea as it obviously is the most popular for the demographic in your suburb? Melsie68 I was so for red bricks when I started but like you found there was so many variation . But I guess you go from red brink with lots of character to boring old cream. I think cream bricks can look stunning if done correctly! I think they are the riskiest IMO as I've seen some of the most beautiful cream brick houses, but also some that just seem to stand out as bad colour combos.
