Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 09, 2014 10:24 am Hi I am looking to build with Carlisle homes - going with Milano. Has anyone else built the Milano and how do you rate the quality of the build - any feedback would be great. One of the things I was a bit surprised by is that there is absolutely no room for any discounts at all even though my costs would be 350k+ - has that been the experience of everyone who has dealt with Carlisle? Porter Davis salesperson was a bit more flexible and suggested she could manage to get some discounts while the Carlisle salesperson almost balked at the mention of any discounts or add ons. What's the experience of other new home builders? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Cheers Re: Discounts with Carlisle Homes 2Mar 26, 2014 7:01 am Hi ckanair, you might want to have a read through the actual thread for Carlisle Homes, as there is a lot of info on there. But, basically, Carlisle do not offer any discounts or packages - the cost is the cost to them, it is up to you whether you want to do the upgrades or not. hope that helps. I did scour through the other posts to see if there was any thread on similar lines and did not find it. I guess as long as the build quality and build experience is superior to other builders and cost is competitive not having any additional discounts is understandable. We were lucky in that our old house was so small (86 square metres) compared to the new house, they were able to take enough readings around the old backyard house before… 8 37143 Carlisle use to sneak a water resistant "Performance Solution" into their contracts.
