Vinyl planks are unbelievable, looking at the Van Gogh classic oak in karndean range Re: building with red ink Darling Downs WA 62Sep 01, 2014 3:40 pm Anyone upgrade on appliances with redink? Options look pretty limited. If you choose to buy your. Own kitchen appliances, do you get much of a credit back from redink? Re: building with red ink Darling Downs WA 63Sep 01, 2014 5:36 pm They can quote you any appliances that you want, don't go by what's on their prestart website. We had them quote about 4 or 5 different everythings. In the end though we went std oven, std hotplate but upgraded to the cast iron trivet and upgraded to another westinghouse rangehood w glass. They get their appliances at a massive discount since they buy in such bulk (per my prestart consultant) so the credits are pretty minimal. But I would have them cost whatever you might want, also find out the credits and ask about doing it yourself. Then at least you have all your options priced out. Sometimes they can get other appliances at better than RRP so you may be pleasantly surprised. Re: building with red ink Darling Downs WA 64Sep 01, 2014 6:19 pm Hi Nuadventure8, Another redinker here, and we're also building on acreage. That's a fab design you have yourself there!! What stage are you up to with RI? Nikki Re: building with red ink Darling Downs WA 65Sep 02, 2014 12:42 am Thanks Ardie, will do some research on other options too so I'm organised. I like the oven, and the upgraded gas hot plate, just still working through range hoods lol, so much to think about. Re: building with red ink Darling Downs WA 66Sep 02, 2014 12:46 am Hi Nikki, we are almost at final draft on drawings at the moment. Would loved to have been further along in the process but the land has taken forever to sort out. It was a private subdivision and hasn't been particularly easy. It's taken nearly 10months to get to this point. Luckily we have settlement scheduled for the land on the 19th sept, so the nightmare is almost over. Re: building with red ink Darling Downs WA 67Sep 02, 2014 7:26 am I hear you Nuadventure. Our land took 3years and 3months before we were issued titles...private developer as well. Re: building with red ink Darling Downs WA 68Sep 02, 2014 8:42 am Yikes treesachanger!! Perhaps I should stop complaining about our delay. Sheesh I think I would have gone mental if ours had taken three years. I hope your sanity has remained in tact Re: building with red ink Darling Downs WA 69Sep 02, 2014 5:10 pm Mwahahahaahhaha, you have guessed my secret...now I have to kill you Re: building with red ink Darling Downs WA 70Sep 02, 2014 5:32 pm Lol you're funny!! Better stay out of dark alleys then Re: building with red ink Darling Downs WA 71Sep 14, 2014 9:46 pm Well settlement on land finally booked for this Thursday. So hope it all goes through, we've had enough land glitches and I'm well ready to get started on something that's house related. First things first though, only have 120m x4 lots of post and rail fencing to pull out...shouldn't take too long should it lol Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: building with red ink Darling Downs WA 73Sep 14, 2014 11:35 pm But just think of all that aged timber ready for the fire...or would it have been treated? Re: building with red ink Darling Downs WA 74Sep 15, 2014 11:08 am Ooh good luck with that! That's the only problem with larger plots - the work that you have to do. we had our firebreaks cleared last week and I have four very large piles of dirt and scrub to do.....something(?).....with! Re: building with red ink Darling Downs WA 75Jul 03, 2015 9:35 pm Its been such a long time since we purchased this land. November 2013, with settlement actually happening in September 2014. I was fair ready to give up!!! But alot has gone on. We have a shed, a tank, a sand pad and a compaction certificate issued today. Nervous and excited about handing over the block and construction stage over to Redink. I'll add some photos when I can remember how to actually do it lol I’m restoring all my 40yr old windows and I want to install seals around the casements. I’ve sanded back and oiled the frames with sikkens. My plan is to box up inside… 0 6486 Thanks for your reply. I will just wait and see I guess.
