Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Mar 02, 2014 4:43 pm Hi Was wondering if anyoe had any experience building with Nu-Era homes? We spoke to them at their Brooks Reach Display Centre yesterday and we are getting a tender put together which will hopefully fit in our price range. We have a block with 6m of fall sloping down toward the street, with a bit of fall sideways across the block as well. We have struggled to find a bigger project builder who will build on it, aside from mcdonald jones who were able to adapt a few of thier plans with splits etc to suit. I like the sound of nu-era tho, as they claim to specialise in sloping / difficult blocks, and seem confident they can find something to put on it that will fit with the natural slope of the block, rather then having to do a whole heap of hectic cut and fill to make a existing plan fit. The only thing that makes me nervous is that I cant find any info online about people who have built wiith them, and they dont have a lot of houses going up down here, so we havet been able to see one of their homes in the flesh. Would be great if someone could give some feedback Ask for references and speak to them. If they are defensive or try to avoid the request, walk. 1 74220 I would never build with Fowler homes.
