Browse Forums Building A New House Re: Our First Home... Ben Trager, in The Vines. 81Oct 15, 2014 11:48 am I do really like that grey living room wall paper you've chosen. It's subtle but still would highlight the wall beautifully. It would go with anything as well. I'd love to see how they use it in the Byford display. I really need to get myself out there to have a look. And the black damask is classic. Will you use it on all the walls in the theatre? I would love to do the theatre. I've kind of taken over the whole house already though so I promised hubby that I'd leave the theatre in his hands... hopefully "capable" hands or I might have to intervene haha. Re: Our First Home... Ben Trager, in The Vines. 82Oct 15, 2014 12:32 pm They have it on the wall that is next to the kitchen and in the activity (other side of that wall). The damask pattern I will do on just 1 wall, most likely the wall behind the couches, I also told my partner theatre was his domain but I always wanted to use that wall paper and it won't suit anywhere else Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Our First Home... Ben Trager, in The Vines. 83Oct 22, 2014 12:29 pm New pictures... Mum popped by and managed to get some photos for me. Looking forward to getting home next week to see for myself. She says the photos don't really do it justice. When we were selecting the tiles we were a little worried about how dark coloured grout would look but I actually really like it.... and we won't have to worry about the grout getting discoloured over the years. Ben Trager, in The Vines. 84Oct 22, 2014 2:35 pm Ooo we have the same wall tiles in our ensuite too then! Ours are 'New Travertine Beige Pol' which I assume are the same? Love the brown too and I think good choice on the dark grout, looks better not seeing the lines! Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Our First Home... Ben Trager, in The Vines. 85Oct 22, 2014 4:52 pm Wow really. What are the chances?! Well, great minds think alike don't they haha. That name does sound familiar. I just can't wait to get home and see it for myself. What colour floor tiles did you go with? Initially I wanted the same tiles on the floor but hubby convinced me that the floor would be way too slippery. I'll be sure to get more photos when I get home. Fingers crossed we'll be in before Xmas! Re: Our First Home... Ben Trager, in The Vines. 86Oct 22, 2014 5:54 pm We went with the same tile on the floor (I was worried about that but partner says will be fine lol) it's the exact same as the byford display Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Our First Home... Ben Trager, in The Vines. 87Oct 22, 2014 6:00 pm Looks great. The tiler seems to have done tidy job. Re: Our First Home... Ben Trager, in The Vines. 88Oct 23, 2014 8:50 am Ohhh I can't wait to see your ensuite Archetto. It's going to look amazing. Did you go for floor to ceiling as well? Thanks OWF. We have a great supervisor. During the tile meeting there was confusion because the tiler tried to say that we hadn't paid for the tiles to be mitred. The supervisor sorted it all out then and there though as well as some other questions we had. He called the office up and was able to give us feedback right away. We've been very fortunate. I put it down to being lucky enough to have a supervisor who is onto everything. Re: Our First Home... Ben Trager, in The Vines. 89Oct 23, 2014 9:01 am Nope I wish we had!! Does anyone know if it's possible to do it after handover? Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 Re: Our First Home... Ben Trager, in The Vines. 90Oct 23, 2014 10:16 am I'm not sure but I hope it's not too difficult. I would love to have the downstairs bathroom with floor to ceiling tiling as well. Re: Our First Home... Ben Trager, in The Vines. 91Oct 23, 2014 11:21 am I'm deff going to suss it out!! The display didn't have floor to ceiling so didn't even think about it until I saw everyone on here with lovely bathrooms with it oh well first house, if it can't it will still look good What else do they have to do now? Just looking forward to getting to Perth next week to have a look in person Re: Our First Home... Ben Trager, in The Vines. 94Nov 06, 2014 5:28 pm Did you get to see your tiles in person? The paving takes no time to complete so you should have a driveway soon. Re: Our First Home... Ben Trager, in The Vines. 99Nov 08, 2014 1:52 pm Thanks guys. I'm very pleased but the closer we get to the end, the more anxious and impatient I feel. I just can't wait to get in there and say goodbye to renting!! And glad you like the corner windows Archetto. We stole the idea from The Arcadia. I've noticed BT have updated their website too. Not sure when that happened but just noticed it today Re: Our First Home... Ben Trager, in The Vines. 100Nov 08, 2014 2:10 pm Was about 2 weeks ago, looks good They also have a new display in Bletchely Park which has a crazy massive ensuite lol. How far away do you reckon you are from the end now, all going to plan? I'm losing all these BTH homes to follow and live my build through until mine starts Our build thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70984 So it looks like we finally have some movement on site!
