Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 28, 2014 12:11 pm Hello everyone, could you please tell me what is the time frame for the slab to go down after it was released to construction? I am expecting the release next Friday and would love to know when to expect the slab. So exciting Comments from people with other builders are welcome First house - Statesman Greenock (modified) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=66876 Second house - Fairmont Grand Design (modified) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=100789 Re: Statesman/Hickinbotham release to construction to slab? 2Mar 03, 2014 11:08 am oh well, no answer to this. I will have to wait and see how long it will take my builder to pour the slab after the release. The rough time frame is about 4-6 week from release to the slab. it can be done quicker if the weather is good and the tradies are available but it can also be delayed. Fingers crossed it will happen sooner rather then later for us First house - Statesman Greenock (modified) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=66876 Second house - Fairmont Grand Design (modified) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=100789 Re: Statesman/Hickinbotham release to construction to slab? 6Mar 10, 2014 2:24 pm they say 6 weeks but it is usually quicker, from memory ours was about a week Re: Statesman/Hickinbotham release to construction to slab? 7Mar 10, 2014 5:53 pm wow, hachy, one week would be fantastic. Tomorrow I will know for sure if they released us to construction and a bit more about timeline from now on. Looking forward to hear that it will be done as quickly as yours First house - Statesman Greenock (modified) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=66876 Second house - Fairmont Grand Design (modified) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=100789 Re: Statesman/Hickinbotham release to construction to slab? 8Mar 14, 2014 12:04 pm Well, it is one week since the OK to start date and site works have started yesterday (mind you we had long weekend here in SA) so realistically it took 2 days to organise the team First house - Statesman Greenock (modified) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=66876 Second house - Fairmont Grand Design (modified) https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=100789 Re: Statesman/Hickinbotham release to construction to slab? 9Apr 16, 2014 3:52 pm Just as an update. OK to construction day was 7 March, preparation works were finished on 14 March and the footing was done on 25 March. Just a bit under 3 weeks. I think it was pretty good.
