Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 27, 2014 9:41 pm Hello We are building our first home, the dales ford alfresco with hickinbotham/construction services SA. Our block is 640 square metres, so it is the perfect the house. some would say that the block is small but as we are 20 and 23 its just right for the two of us. the house is a three bedroom house with a open plan living. We have had a few bumps along the way. we signed the contract on may 29th 2013, from then up until august 18th everything was going smootly, we had got our master plans and were ready for the next step. we then got a letter from construction services SA who inform us there would be a 10 weeks delay as they had to put pipes and roads in which was very confusing as our roads were in place. 10 weeks had past by and nothing the land looked the same. christmas rolled around and still nothing, i contracted the company about 3 weeks ago and they confirmed that the works would be start by the end of February it is now the 27th and still nothing. What are your thoughts on this? Do you have any help or suggestion ?
