Browse Forums Building A New House 1 Feb 27, 2014 3:42 pm Hi All, Just posting my current design and seek some advise or feedback Let me know if there could be better changes? or if the size of the house is sufficient or small? https://www.dropbox.com/sh/tv8rbvp8ast1vvz/d5_jsWC7uE/MyHom.pdf Cheers Re: House Design. Any comments? =) 2Feb 27, 2014 4:26 pm The entry to the main bathroom and the shower door seems like a potential problem if both doors open at the same time. Not a fan of having to walk in and around the linen cupboard from the main entry to get to the family & kitchen area. And i'd look at adding a 3rd toilet if there are going to be 5 people living there. Re: House Design. Any comments? =) 3Feb 27, 2014 4:53 pm I love your plans - they are great for a growing family. My only suggestion would be to think about where North is and if possible try and capture the best possible amount of natural light you can. Think about where your windows are positioned and what they will look out to (if that's relevant) - window positioning is a big focus of our new build as we want each room to maximise nice aspects of the garden etc. Also I don't know if you have kids but we are having a rumpus room for our kids so they can have all their toys in there and no one has to see their mess! All in all a lovely floor plan you have there Re: House Design. Any comments? =) 4Feb 28, 2014 5:04 pm Wow. Thanks alot !
