On a positive note, the interior decor looks great! You're lucky to get out of Freedom with change from a hundred so $15 is bargain central!!! Re Fiyero's stress, our cat was much the same. They're such drama queens! My biggest worry has been ensuring he doesn't spray, a nasty, disgusting habit he got in to at our last place that must have been based on territorial issues (he's de sexed but that doesn't stop him). Territory or not cat pee is a foul, vomit-inducing odour that promotes more spraying too so it's not been fun keeping him under watchful eye and away from any carpet. We let him out for the first time after about five days and he came straight back inside with eyes like saucers! So strange for him. He'd sit on the windowsill though and whack his tail around furiously. Was pretty funny to watch (is that mean?). Anyway he goes out now for about an hour early morning and evening, lots of fun things to climb in these half finished houses. Here he is now. Totally stressing out about all the things he's got to do today...not. Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ He's what is referred to as a "Dog-Cat". Has all the behaviours of a cat but is the size of a dog. Best thing is he's mute. By choice I might add. He simply chooses not to meow. So if he wants something you just get looked at and you're expected to figure out what he wants. Such an arrogant a-hole. But I love him all the same. Sorry to hijack your thread with my cat rambling. I just know how much time u think about them when they're out of sorts after moving house. Fiyero will hopefully feel as stressed as my Fred (far less-classy F-name) once he gets to go outside to smell and see his new environment. You notice so much more when you move .you probley will notice a few more though but it's not a bad thing as long as you keep in your builder some stuff they will wait till 6mon but take photos and email them anyway . Those bumps are apparently called the 5 0clock shadow I have one too .but apparently very common it depends how much you fight for it to be fixed .years ago my sister built and hers were so bad that her whole ceiling had to be sanded back . Thanks Melsie! Yeah I am going to be noticing stuff for ages. This morning I noticed that there is writing on my laundry door haha I hope it washes off 5'O Clock shadow I do not enjoy! haha I will do what I can - hopefully they'll fix it all! I said to my OH that I won't invite anyone over around that time! haha He thought I was being Dramatic lol BS12 Have taken note of all your little troubles and will be keeping them in mind! Dude place looks ridiculously good. Your decorating game is seriously on point! I'd never think of the tiny things you have like putting a storage unit/buffet where it is, then the chevron style mat on top of it, not to mention artwork and ornaments hanging off the wall! Love it! Thanks Buddy! I have really enjoyed making things 'homely but stylish' - I have just done up my art room - probably still the messyest room in the house but Its looking better than I thought, so I am happy. Cheers man JnM Justin, hope that will be the end of your building niggles... home building seems like a unnecessarily complicated learning process. On a positive note, the interior decor looks great! Yeah JnM - so many niggles you don't ever think of pop up. I guess when you buy a house its a constant battle of sorting out the little things people have left behind. I didn't realise how many things would be in my mind of things I want to change and fix. Like right now I am sitting in my art room at my desk and I can look directly into the 2nd Toilet. It has not blinds on the window (neither does the bathroom) and that annoys me. It looks unfinished. I know they are pretty cheap at Spotlight for the same ones I have so I will be investing in some and putting them up soon I think. So many little things MrsTerry Your house is looking really lovely! Our build thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=73578 Thank you Mrs Terry! Ah yeah that chevron rug <3 I love it. haha I'll put up the rest of the house at some stage when I get time, possibly my art room today so you can check it out! Smiley77 Looks beautiful, love the black and white Thanks Smiley77!!! Hootie The house is looking lovely and I love your decorating style! I think your decorating style is going to be amazing, I cannot wait to see it all! Oh, I am so glad you think that (the cat stand). I am really impressed actually, Fiyero never sits on the couches in that room he much prefers the stand which is awesome (less hair to clean up). In the home theatre however, he loves sleeping on the couch but he is only allowed in there when we are in there so all good. I will let you all know when the article is finally done! archetto Looks amazing Justin! Where is your chevron rug from? How cool you found a throw to match your floor rug too! Good work! Thank you Achetto OMG I love that rug and I found a runner to match randomly. I purchased the rug on Zanui.com.au and the runner on buffet I found at Gone Bazaar in Joondalup (near the old Bunnings). Haha yeah thanks, I was in Living Emporium and happened to see that throw that matched the rug, was so cheap ($15) so I just got it. I thought It may be 'too much' in the same room but I think it looks ok, so I have left it in there!!! PerthAussie2014 Oooooh I love your lamp Justin!!! Xoxo I know I have been spending way to much money (as usual) PerthAussie so to get out of Freedom with minimal dollars spent is brilliant. Haha when I moved to my parents place (they had their house, they sold, we moved to a rental and then moved to the house they built in the 3 years I lived with them) and Fiyero also sprayed and did naughty things like that. My family have dogs so maybe it was because they were there - he is also de-sexed. "Touch Wood" he has not done anything like that at my new place! Haha its not mean. Fiyero also does funny things like that. I have started letting him out as he has been so LOUD and NOISEY! Yesterday he was out and he was Meowing loudly outside, it made me laugh. Then last night I was in my art room sorting stuff out. He was looking at me straggly through the window (probably not understanding that it is the artroom and freaked out when I opened the blinds! haha He was like HOLY MOTHER Oh' omg who is that man, OH Its jUSTIN...i think its ok! haha Silly cats! I love that he is mute, he is so cute. Fiyero definitely tells you like it is and doesn't shut up, I don't speak cat so I don't understand! hahaha! Fred looks lovely though - what a beautiful kitty! Fiyero will be ok, he is also dog-cat. He has so many dog characteristics but also the "stuff you attitude" like a cat! haha PerthAussie2014 How about those K-Mart pjs?! ^^^^^^ Bhahaha - they are great!! MalSannie Looking great Justin, and looking forward to the article! Let us know when it is up please You and PerthAussie makes me want a cat. But OH is totally allergic so it is out of the question /quote] Thanks MalSannie!!!!! I will let you know I promise! Tell your OH the get ammunotherapy then get a cat!! haha! I was allergic to my cat when I got him (I didn't realise) plus all the common grasses (like cooch <-- i say that one because its funny) and mouldy food spores and DUST. So I got injections every week for 11 weeks and then every 2nd week for about 15 weeks. I stopped doing it after that as it isn't cheap but I am great with my cat now and during Spring I really do not suffer as bad as I used to! Well worth it!
