We know that design well, we briefly considered it and our sales guy worked at the display so spent some time down there!! Look forward to seeing it with all your stuff Re: Aussie Living - AMBERTON - PCI Complete - KEYS 12th June 729Jun 02, 2015 5:53 am Justin I don't think I'd have recognised the design from the original one - yours is much much better well done! Are you planning a momento or something as an art piece in your house of the process? You ended up changing to a different plan right? What did/didn't you like about the design? MalSannie Justin I don't think I'd have recognised the design from the original one - yours is much much better well done! Are you planning a momento or something as an art piece in your house of the process? Thanks - I love my plan and the feel of the house a lot MalSannie! It's nearly home! Not sure about an artwork moment! Haven't thought about it! I will miss building though, I find it all a lot of fun! Re: Aussie Living - AMBERTON - PCI Complete - KEYS 12th June 733Jun 02, 2015 5:23 pm The lists - I keep making lists! I thought "Justin, you need to be organized so be organized" - NBN : going with iiNet, the guy in the phone as an idiot and said I didn't need someone to come out and install it so I'll need to sort that out! - WIRs: getting this done through lifestyle wardrobes, waiting on an installation date - hoping for the 15th June. - Landscaping paperwork is all ready, trying to find a contact for a dingo person to level out my yard. If you know of one cheap let me know! - TV antenna: the guy will call me next week to book in installation for Friday or Saturday! - council bins: they get delivered this Friday 5th June - driveway crossover reimbursement documents: waiting for a letter from Aussie living and the paperwork from wannaroo council so I can claim back my crossover (or whatever they give you for it) - appliances online and super amart deliveries all set for Friday 12th June!!!!! Yay - dining room table : picking up on the 13th June! Getting there! Also sorting out my side gate to go on that weekend along with my washing line and smashing out the WIR's the builder put in! Going to be a busy weekend from the 12th to the 15th! Due to bad reception up there let's hope my internet works so I can update my H1 family! Re: Aussie Living - AMBERTON - PCI Complete - KEYS 12th June 734Jun 02, 2015 6:15 pm Hi We have views to the rear of our block so the Cube wouldn't have worked to make the most of it. But if we hadn't had the views we possibly would have considered it. Though hubby was also keen on a double garage (concerned about re-sale value) and for some reason I was keen to have the Master away from the minor bedrooms. Our block is only 10m wide so our choices were limited, after we started a few more plans came out that make good use of a narrow block. Sounds like your plans for deliveries/pick-ups have been well organised. I feel like even 18+ months later our to-do-list still has so much on it! We will get there eventually Re: Aussie Living - AMBERTON - PCI Complete - KEYS 12th June 735Jun 02, 2015 6:51 pm Justin, what you have done with your version of the plan blows the original away big time! You have made it your "own" with all those clever changes...alfresco in the middle, retreat area in the master, access to alfresco from 3 rooms...wow! Congrats, well done! And also a very exciting list you have! Can't wait to see it all get together! You are very organized! I was always for Iinet, my internet was with them for 7 years then I moved to an area where only Telstra could provide me with decent internet, I kept my email with iinet though. As of recent, they sold out to new owners, and haven't quite been making the same ground that they were known for, as well as their service desk slowly moving out of the country. Based on plans when I looked at them about 5-6 months ago, Optus looked to provide the best value for money. Iinet generally provided the least amount of Data with the longer of the lock in contracts (24 months) Optus have an unlimited data plan on their fastest pack (25 down/5 up) for $90 - which includes 6 months free Netflix subscription, with also the option for an extra $20 (this is the top boost) to boost your speed to as fast as you can get (50-100 down/20-40 up), or for $10 you can get half the boost. I definitely know who I'm choosing! Re: Aussie Living - AMBERTON - PCI Complete - KEYS 12th June 737Jun 02, 2015 7:43 pm For nbn I have found exetel to be the best value. Unlimited 100 mbps for 89 a month. I can't vouch for their service though. Given that the nbn all runs on the same infrastructure, the retailers don't do a lot, they are essentially resellers, like synergy. I would expect the quality of the connection to be the same across all providers, it's the help desk and sales process that would vary. Exetel basically sell the larger ISPs service as their own, they don't use their own infrastructure. With NBN though, as mentioned it's all the same infrastructure so yep comes down to service and support, I'm not sure what they are like with that. I do like how they donate one third of their profits to community based programs. I may look into getting their service I think! Best thing is that seems like a fixed price, where my Optus one was a special, and you have to pay more to get the max speeds - Exetel offer max speed in their standard plan. But I've got about 6-8 months left to research and see how they go given the recent surge of NBN being sold. Joe, it depends on your certifier but we are noticing the ones we deal with are really cracking down.
